I'm so past Alton Brown. The Food Network has created a monster. He was great while hosting "Good Eats", informative instruction with a great sense of humor and personality. Now he's downright rude, obnoxious, pretentious, self effacing and way too, well, just sour. He uses his knowledge like a hammer. He needs to dial it back about 90%. Giada, on the other hand, seems to have a frozen smile plastered on her face and now feels as though her ability to cook has somehow magically given her a degree in psychology and made her and Acting professor. Bobby Flay is the only one that brings a professional attitude and sincere mentoring skills, genuinely trying to help the contestants while Alton and Giada seem to be merely using the contestants to prove how great they are.
