by in Food Network Star, May 25, 2013

Lovely JacksonYou heard it here first: Food Network Star is kicking off an all-new ninth season on Sunday, June 2 at 9pm/8c, and returning judge-mentors Alton BrownBobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis will be there at the helm. This year the mentors are tasking 12 hopefuls with weekly Mentor and Star Challenges in the ultimate multi-month interview for the chance to earn their dream television job: their own show on Food Network. While the contestants bring with them a mix of backgrounds — including culinary school, restaurant management, private chef and food blogging — they have but one dream, which is to become the next Food Network Star. From now until next month's premiere, Star Talk will introduce one finalist a day until you, Star fans, meet them on camera during the show.

Born Connie Jackson, Lovely, 27, adopted her nickname when she was a child, as the baby of her family. She's a culinary school graduate with a bachelor's degree in culinary management, and she lives in Los Angeles. As a private chef for high-profile clients, Lovely works to bring glam to the kitchen through diamond-studded knives and edible diamonds.

I thought Lovely looked familiar and with a little research I found it. Yes this Lovely and the HK Lovely are one in the same.

  2. LINDA says:

I went back all the way to Season #6 of HELLS KITCHEN and there is a picture of a girl named LOVELY picture was dated July 2009 and she was 23 hometown of CHICAGO and a chef at a CHILDRENS CAMP also at that time it said she lived in CHICAGO also. Now the Connie "LOVELY Jackson is 27 from Chicago and lives in L.A.. It looks ALOT like the girl from HELLS KITCHEN only this one is much thinner, so I believe it is the same person. If you go on HKITCHEN'S FBOOK page and look at the pictures in the ALBUM section and scroll down to where it says CAST OF SEASON 6 you will see the LOVELY in the picture, only heavier and has longer hair. let me know what you all think. thanks

She has to go soon. Her POV doesn't make sense and she is annoying.

  4. DeWitt says:

I hope she gets kicked off sooner rather than later. Her whole "glam" gimmick is just that, a ridiculous gimmick without any substance to back it up. She comes off as incredibly fake. Fine, she may not be the worst contestant, but still not even remotely worthy of making it anywhere near the finals. Unless she has turned 180 degrees from when she was on HK, then she just can't cook worth a damn.

Agreed wholeheartedly. She gets on my nerves with that stupid "party on a plate" glam crap. Been surfing the web trying to find the identity of one hollywood "celeb" she claims to have cooked for.. So far, just like her cooking, I came up short, Pizza dough for a donut????? It was a "Lovely" moment to she her fat ass kicked from the competition.

  5. DeWitt says:

and her little catch phrases are annoying, yes.

Watched second show. the (not so) Lovely with her eye rolling and teeth sucking is annoying. Why are you Forcing her to stay. She must have better things to do. The comments regarding her food ,turkey burger, were sad. Who knew a fake chef from Hell;s kitchen can't cook. haha

  8. Koanbred says:

I think that Lovely has at all times conducted herself with class and dignity. Perhaps her cooking skills aren't as refined as her character. However, she most certainly doesn't deserve the type of negative feedback that she's getting from some of the commenters here.
No doubt the negative comments were inspired of Alton Brown, who unnecessarily and quite viciously verbally assaulted her with some comment which alluded to her being some kind of a phony or slick person. That's comes off as being blatantly hypocritical, since we all know that nobody could be more fake than Alton on the American Iron Chef show. The way Alton lit into Lovely makes me really wonder about why that California grown boy decided to move to the ole Dixie state of Georgia, in the first place.

fried pizza dough dipped in sugar @!##$ Really bad on any level. I hope she does not return. Don't blame Alton for bad cooking on her part. Her POV changed from GLAM to Party on a Plate in 2 episodes let's face it she was fake . I am glad she has a ggod friend

  9. Karen says:

This is her second show. She was on Hell's Kitchen season 6
