Poll: Who Went Home Too Soon?

by in Food Network Star, May 31, 2012

No Star hopeful wants to make an early exit from the competition, but unfortunately, someone always has to be the first, second or third to go. Cristie Schoen, Kara Sigle and Josh Lyons — eliminated in episodes one, two and three, respectively — didn't have many opportunities to show Bob and Susie their best stuff. Their mentors only had limited time to coach them and help them improve. With more time to learn and grow, could Cristie, Kara or Josh have been a serious contender?

That leads to our poll of the week: In your opinion, which of these three early eliminations happened too soon? Let us know which eliminated finalist you'd bring back to the competition.

Who's your favorite finalist still in the running? Don’t forget to cast your Fan Vote up to 10 times per day.

Come on Food Network bring Kara back! Her performances on the WGN TV - "Mystery Bag Challenge" and WCIU News - " Food Network Stars," were spectacular. They showcased her culinary talents and you could see her charming personality.

Has anyone ever considered applying the same measuring stick to Bob as to the Food Network Star contestants? I have been a fan of the show Food Network Star since its first season but I must say that Bob very nearly makes me want to tune out for the future. In short he is not memorable other than for his obnoxious faces, comments and overall snooty and stuffy attitude. Why must we be subjected to him each week of this show? If his contribution were judged the same as the contestants he would be home in the first week for the very unpleasant attitude in comments and scoffing faces. Please find someone we want to watch, Bob is not it.

Here is the link to watch Kara' s interview on WCIU Chicago May 15th. KARA IS AWESOME!

That was interesting. They both look so different than on the food network stars show. These guys are a nervous wreck. The national show must be so stressful. It will be a survival of the fittest type thing in the end I think.

Just saw the May 15th WCIU You and Me this Morning show with Kara and Justin. They have great chemestry and tons of talent. It was nice to see them in a relaxed atmosphere. Maybe the Network should bring them together. They share the same philosophy and fun to watch. There might be something here.

Here is another link to a WGN show that Kara and Justin appreared on. Holy Cow, they are really good! http://www.wgntv.com/videogallery/69844628/News/M...

    Bring back KARA!!

  6. Elsie says:

Couldn't agree more with Raymond. Kara knows what she is doing in the kitchen and is smooth on camera. She's delightful and can really cook. I can see why Bobby picked her. I hope she gets and opportunity to come back to the Network.

  7. Carl says:

Kara’s philosophy of taking a classic dish and putting a healthy spin is on mark with what the country wants. She has arrived at the perfect time and she’s authentic and genuine…not to mention beautiful. All the Network has to do is give her a chance to deliver. With a little coaching and mentoring from Bobby, she can be a sensation.

Come on Food Network. Bring Kara Sigle back! Check out Kara on UTube Broadcast Yourself – Nostalgic Cooking with Kara. I think you will agree. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBJ0vQCt7wY
