Investigating the differences in pricing between bulk and packaged whole grains.

Whole-grain options have come a long way! Now some of the more obscure varieties are easier to find in stores and online. Many of these grains are available for purchase in bulk and packaged, but which is a better deal? We did some investigating.

This fiber- and protein-rich grain is lovely for cold salads or served warm alongside pork, poultry or fish.

This “grain” is technically a seed but is prepared and served like a grain. Its tender texture and mild flavor appeal to the masses, plus it’s gluten-free. Quinoa has become more mainstream in recent years, making it more affordable and easier to find.
