pressure cooker

The pressure cooker isn’t just a fancy gadget used by Iron Chefs in Kitchen Stadium; it’s also the perfect tool for getting dinner on the table in no time. Cook long-braise dishes like this Pressure Cooker Beef Stroganoff any night of the week in under 40 minutes, or check out one of Alton’s easy pressure cooker how-to videos.

The Vitaquick pressure cooker adjusts to two speed settings for delicate ingredients like fish and long-cooking dishes like soup. With an easy locking indicator and positioning aid, releasing the pressure when you’re done cooking is as easy as pressing a button.

You can buy your own Vitaquick pressure cooker or enter in the comments for a chance to win one. Just let us know, in the comments, your favorite dish to make in a pressure cooker. The contest starts at 10:00 a.m. EST today, and ends on Friday, September 6 at 5 p.m. EST.

We’re giving away one Vitaquick pressure cooker to one randomly-selected commenter. You must include your email address in the “Email” field when submitting your comment so we can communicate with you if you’re a winner.

You may only comment once to be considered and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. Void where prohibited. Only open to legal residents of 50 U.S. states, D.C. or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least 18 to win. For the first day of the giveaway, all entries (answers) must be entered between 10:00 a.m. EST on September 4 and 5 p.m. EST on September 6, 2013. Subject to full official rules. By leaving a comment on the blog, you acknowledge your acceptance to the Official Rules. ARV of each prize: $249.95. Sponsor: Scripps Networks, LLC, d/b/a Food Network, 9721 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932.

Thanks so much for this giveaway! I no longer have a pressure cooker, but my favorite dish to make in one, bar none, is my Chocolate Pot de Creme. Tiny little ramekins of deep, dark chocolate, egg yolks and cream, cooked to perfection in only 12 minutes! Digits crossed that I'll soon get a chance to make them again. :)
