Chris WeibleBobby Flay Fit Bobby Flay manages to stay fit and healthy even with a busy lifestyle as a chef, and he’s eager to share his healthy eating and fitness plan with fans in a seven-part Web series, Bobby Flay Fit.

Getting help from someone who knows about fitness, like a trainer, when beginning a new exercise routine is important. In Episode 3 of Bobby Flay Fit, Michael Symon takes Bobby to Reebok Sports Club in New York to teach him some new weight-lifting routines. In a Bobby Flay Fit bonus video, Chris Weible, fitness trainer at Reebok Sports Club, demonstrates some easy exercises you can do anywhere to jump-start your fitness routine.

Healthy Eats caught up with Chris to talk more about exercising at home, finding the right time to work out and how he stays motivated and energized.

What are some exercises people can do at home if they don’t have a gym membership?
Chris Weible: Some great exercises to do at home if you do not have access to a gym are 1) planks, which are fantastic for the core, 2) push-ups, which work the chest and the arms, 3) chair dips for the triceps and 4) chair squats for the legs.

How many times do you recommend exercising per week?
CW: It really depends on the person and their availability. In a perfect world I’d say six. However, three days or every other day can be extremely beneficial.

When’s the best time of day to exercise?
CW: The best time of day to exercise is up to each individual person. Typically the best time to work out is when that person feels most energized to work out and whenever it is convenient with their job schedules.

If you only had 15 minutes to work out, what exercise would you do?
CW: If I only had 15 minutes to work out I would most likely do a squat curl press. I would definitely do an exercise that combines as many muscles in the shortest amount of time possible.

How do you stay motivated to exercise?
CW: I stay motivated to exercise by the results that I see and the way it makes me feel when I finish a workout. I love challenges and am always trying to improve upon my weaknesses. The important thing to do is set goals for yourself. Have small goals for the week and bigger goals for the month and/or year. Know what your goals are so that you can take the necessary steps to achieve them.

What do you eat or drink before and/or after a workout?
CW: I typically like to eat a piece of fruit with some form of protein. I cannot work out on an empty stomach. Plus, you need some energy to get the workout going.

Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable.
