How do I count the ways? Right now I have a bowl of watermelon with blueberries on ice on the kitchen island to snack on throughout the day.

I make pies, tarts, put them in salads, eat them plain, add them to smoothies, ice cream, freeze them and have them as a cool summer snack, the possibilities are endless!

I make sure to freeze a lot of them so when I get the craving in December, and I won't be disappointed.

Berries are one of my favorite foods ever! I love eating them plain, in muffins, or with some whipped cream for an extra special treat!

I eat fresh berries any way I can! Atop oatmeal in the morning and yogurt in the afternoon or by themselves and in fruits salad. And of course, in a baked berry crisp with oat-crumb topping.

Straight up strawberries with sugar! Let them sit for 5 mins, then serve with a dollap of fresh whipped cream. Yum!

I actually have two favorite ways of eating summer berries. Growing up I made Strawberry Shortcakes with my dad using the recipe on the back of the Bisquick box. That taste brings back such happy memories of fresh summer strawberries picked from our backyard. My other favorite is to enjoy the taste of fresh summer fruit in a homemade jam or jelly. That way, I get to eat it year-round. I just love berries!
