unfortunately working in the food service industry means i won't be cooking for my mother on mother's day. however, i'll still cook her a wonderful meal in the very near future to celebrate allshe has and continues to do as a wonderful mom. here's a tentative menu: grilled mojito chicken; sweet pomme frites with smokey ketchup; fava bean, asparagus and roasted corn salad tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette. For desert a rustic strawberry and rhubarb crostata topped with mint raw sugar (and maybe bruleed if i can procure a torch!)

I was planning on cooking for my Mom but I fell and hurt my knee among other things so now I think my daughter and sister will be cooking. Not sure yet what they'll cook. Hopefully by then I'll be able to help at least a bit.

Since my mom is not in Canada for this mothers day I decided to cook for my girlfriends mom she has helped me so much and we have share many recipe and ideas in the kitchen, as a chef I decided to go a lil over the top by cooking smoked salmon sushi rolls with a wasabi mayo, chicken and shiitake mushroom sausage with a vegetable quinoa paella and white chocolate tequila and lemon sea salt truffles I hope she likes it thanks

Unfortunately, my mom and grandma live in a different state. I do plan on making an overnight French toast casserole for my breakfast that morning (using homemade challah mmmm), and I'm hoping steaks or good meat are on sale that weekend so I can ask my husband for a nice BBQ dinner.

I would love to make something special. I am not a great cook, and just started learning since becoming a mother myself. I am not sure what I will make my mother for Mother's Day. But I know that if I can get these books I can come up with some great ideas for my mother and my 2 year old son. That would be the best gift for all of us in the end!
