Want to win some of these?

Imagine it’s time for a midday snack. What do you reach for? Chips? Popcorn? How about popcorn . . . in the shape of a chip? Break out of a snack time rut with chip’ins—it’s both popcorn and a chip all in one crispy, crunchy bite.

Flavors like white cheddar, buffalo wing and jalapeno ranch pop without overpowering the whole-grain taste of these chips. Traditional flavors like sea salt and classic BBQ are also available for your snacking pleasure. The best part? There aren’t popcorn kernels to get stuck in your teeth, or the extra grease and calories associated with most chips.

You can buy your own Popcorn Indiana Chip’ins or enter in the comments for a chance to win one bag each of all five chip’ins flavors. Just let us know, in the comments, what you reach for at snack time. The contest starts at 10:00 a.m. EST today, and ends on Friday, April 27 at 5 p.m. EST.

We’re giving away one bag each of all five chip’ins flavors to ten lucky, randomly selected commenters.  You must include your email address in the “Email” field when submitting your comment so we can communicate with you if you’re a winner.

You may only comment once to be considered and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. Void where prohibited. Only open to legal residents of 50 U.S. states, D.C. or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least 18 to win. For the first day of the giveaway, all entries (answers) must be entered between 10:00 a.m. EST on April 25 and 5 p.m. EST on April 27, 2012. Subject to full official rules. By leaving a comment on the blog, you acknowledge your acceptance to the Official Rules. ARV of each prize: $19.95. Sponsor: Scripps Networks, LLC, d/b/a Food Network, 9721 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932.

So tell us, what do you reach for at snack time?

Depends on what I'm in the mood for when it comes to a snack but recently popcorn has been a big part of my afternoon snack. Then I usually try and add something to go along with it, either a pear, an apple, some strawberries or maybe some carrot or pepper sticks. These sound fantastic and I'm always looking for new snack things!

  2. Homemade stove-popped popcorn or crunchy sourdough pretzels if I'm craving crunch. I try to pack a couple pieces of fruit in my lunch every day, too!

Popcorn is definitely my 'go-to' snack. Kettle Corn, Butter, Cheese or if I'm feeling creative I'll make my own creations and add peanuts, cashews, garlic salt, parmasean cheese, rasins or even chocolate. This week it's dried fruit and kettle corn. Popcorn is so versatile that you can eat it buy itself or be creative and add your own flavors.

I try to go for a banana or an apple, but sometimes I just want more than that. Really kinda depends on my mood and what I'm craving at the time. But, I'd have to say my favorite, all time snack, would be anything chocolate! LOL I've fallen in love with the sweet and salty combo and have gotten into chocolate granola bars with pretzels.

When at work, snacks are limited. I have a cabinet stocked with healthy snacks I can reach for whenever needed. Things such as almonds, granola, trail mix, whole grain tortilla's, dried sugar snap peas and black bean chips.

There are some nights when I choose chips, some nights when I choose popcorn and there are other times when the only thing that will satisfy me is something chocolate. The only thing is that I need to eat snacks with low sodium. It can be difficult to find a good snack, with low sodium and low fat.

depends what I'm in the mood for! But I try and stay as healthy as possible and avoid anything too sugary or loaded up with carbs. I try to stick with low fat cheese or veggies, but sometimes you need something like chips! This seems like a perfect snack to satisfy the crave for crunch!
