Win Coach’s Oats Oatmeal!

by in Giveaway, January 5, 2012

We’re teaming up with fellow food bloggers and healthy eating advocates to host a Healthy Every Week Challenge, a month-long initiative to develop healthy eating habits. The plan an is to develop a manageable healthy habit each week that will carry through the new year. Join us here and share what you’re eating on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #gethealthy.

Reinvent your breakfast with reinvented oatmeal. When Coach Lynn Rogers wanted a better oatmeal that wasn’t soggy and pasty, he went back to the basics. Starting with whole grain oats — called groats — he and his wife, Bonnie, experimented with toasting, grinding and cooking their own oatmeal. When friends tried Coach’s oatmeal, they didn’t want to go back to regular oatmeal again, and Coach’s Oats was born.

Their patented process allows Coach’s Oats to have a steel-cut texture and taste, but can cook in a fraction of the time. Coach’s Oats are great for quick, healthy breakfasts. They can be prepared in 3 to 5 minutes on the stovetop or in the microwave. What better way to start your day than with a warm, hearty bowl of oatmeal?

You can buy your own bag of Coach’s Oats or enter in the comments for a chance to win two bags of your own (free breakfast!). Just let us know, in the comments, your favorite way to top your oats. The contest starts at 10:00 a.m. EST today, and ends on Saturday, January 7 at 5 p.m. EST. If you need inspiration on how to top your oatmeal, check out the thousands of ways you can love oatmeal.

We’re giving away two bags each to two lucky, randomly selected commenters. You must include your email address in the “Email” field when submitting your comment so we can communicate with you if you’re a winner.

You may only comment once to be considered and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. Void where prohibited. Only open to legal residents of 50 U.S. states, D.C. or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least 18 to win. For the first day of the giveaway, all entries (answers) must be entered between 10:00 a.m. EST on January 5 and 5 p.m. EST on January 7, 2012. Subject to full official rules. I make mine with milk to give it a bit more protein, I stir in a dash of cloves, some cinnamon & a dash or 2 of ginger. And small drizzle of honey & yummy, breakfast. Sometimes if I haven't been eating as well as I should be I'll stir a couple tablespoons of cottage cheese into it to, just to give it an extra protein boost.
