Market Watch: Sweet and Juicy Nectarines

Summer is all about peaches, but I actually prefer the tangy sweetness of nectarines. They have all the juicy, sugary flavor you love - minus the peach fuzz.

Summer is all about peaches, but I actually prefer the tangy sweetness of nectarines. They have all the juicy, sugary flavor you love - minus the peach fuzz.

The aroma of fresh nectarines is straight up intoxicating. The tender, sweet fruit is even better – they are also high in fiber, vitamin A and the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin.  Use them in salads, grilled fruit desserts, snack on them plain,  or get a little sassy and try my Nectarine & Avocado Salsa (pictured below).
