Katie's Healthy Bites: DIY Bagel Chips

At my house, hummus and bean dip are a huge hit for curbing between-meal cravings. Pairing pitas with these spreads is old news, so I switch it up and use old bagels to make these crispy, satisfying dippers.
Katie's Homemade Bagel Chips

At my house (and store), hummus and bean dip are a huge hit for curbing between-meal cravings. Pairing pitas with these spreads is old news, so I switch it up and use old bagels to make these crispy, satisfying dippers.

Bagel Chips

Serves 8
Ingredients:
  • 4 bagels, 1-2 days old (your choice of flavor…I love everything and whole wheat)
  • Olive oil spray
  • 2 cloves of garlic, whole
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice bagels thinly with a serrated knife or mandolin (about 1/8-1/4 inch thick). Spray bagels on both sides with olive oil spray (just to coat). Arrange slices in a single layer on a sheet pan. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until slightly golden. ( Note: The dryer the bagels, the less time they take to crisp up...keep an eye on them!) Rub baked chips with garlic cloves.
