Spotlight Recipe: Oven-Barbecued Pork Chops by Toby Amidor in Healthy Recipes, March 18, 2009

A splash of orange juice with barbecue sauce creates the delightful flavor in these pork chops from EatingWell. If you’re watching your salt, make sure to check the label on your barbecue sauce (you’d be surprised how much is lurking). Add leftovers to a sandwich or slice the pork over mixed greens.

You are totally right! Its amazing to see how much sodium is in the condoments we use daily.
I love the recipe; however, I prefer to use a full pork tenderloin. It seems to retain more flavor and juice and the lack off trimming around the bones makes leftovers a snap. It also minimizes cutting for the little ones and there are no worries when giving one of the puppies the occasional table scraps.
Yes i couldn’t agree more, but i think if those of us watching our salt levels we really need to look at all manufactured produce as many have very high salt content. I think if you want to ensure low salt diet your better off making your own sauces and condiments. For some great low fat recipes and great Italian recipes check here!
