This season of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off puts the celebrity contestants in different situations every episode with challenges that test a certain aspect of their culinary know-how. This past episode tested their skills at a party they catered for kids. But the next challenge will test their ability to serve a hungry lunch crowd in a limited amount of time, which may be more challenging for some than for others. Their dishes must meet the lunchtime standard and be served promptly and with care to customers.
In the above sneak-peek photo, Kathy from Team Rachael and Dean from Team Guy are taking a break and chatting with Rachael. It appears Dean took a camera photo of the three of them and is now showing the result to the ladies. But what is he saying? What is Kathy saying? Why is Rachael pointing at Kathy? Did someone forget to smile or make a funny face in the photo?
This past Sunday the celebrities on Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off had to cook kid-friendly food for two kids’ birthday parties. Unfortunately, not all the dishes pleased the kids’ picky palates. Johnny and Carnie ended up in the bottom two and were given the challenge of making hot dogs for the blind tasting. The crumbled sausage sandwich that Johnny created sent him home because it wasn’t a true hot dog. But it was the hot dog that Carnie made that everyone raved about. Its toppings set it apart: bacon and cheese and a special sauce that Rachael couldn’t help eating on its own.
When it comes to kids’ party food and even game-day grub, hot dogs are right up there with burgers, mac ‘n’ cheese, chili and all those other noteworthy favorites. But it’s often the topping that can put people on the hot dog defensive, with the number-one debate being ketchup or mustard. But there are also many other options when it comes to topping a hot dog. FN Dish wants to know what toppings put on yours.
Every Sunday night, FN Dish gives you the exclusive exit interview with the latest castoff fromRachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, the competition show that features celebrities cooking their way through challenges for a chance to win the title of Cook-Off Champion and $50,000 for their chosen charity. This season will have the celebrities facing real-life situations — far from the glamour of the red carpet — and will test more than just their cooking skills.
On tonight’s episode, the remaining five celebrities found themselves in a challenge that would test not only their ability to cater for a crowd, but to please even the pickiest of eaters: kids. Each team had to cater a separate kids’ party and make sure they were cooking foods that their clients actually liked. Each celebrity had to make one savory and one sweet dish with 30 servings each. At the end of the day, the result of the challenge proved to be one of the most surprising yet.
This season of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off puts the celebrity contestants in different situations every episode with challenges that test a certain aspect of their culinary know-how. This past episode tested their adaptability in a diner with reinventing classic sandwiches. But there’s even more pressure in the next challenge, which will test their ability to cook for some pretty picky eaters. Every recipe must meet a certain expectation if they want to survive another week.
In the above sneak-peek photo, Hines and Carnie from Team Rachael are cooking for the challenge. It appears Hines has got whatever he’s making under control, but then Carnie butts in. Or is Hines asking Carnie for help?
On this past Sunday’s episode of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, the bottom two celebrity contestants, Dean and Chilli, competed in a milkshake blind-tasting challenge to determine who was to go home. Dean made a boozy Creamsicle-inspired milkshake that Rachael and Guy raved about. Chilli made a milkshake more on the classic side — though there was nothing wrong with it, she still ended up being eliminated.
Dean’s milkshake recipe included orange liqueur, orange zest and orange segments. It also had a liqueur-soaked Twinkie on the side. Chilli’s milkshake featured a combination of chocolate, peanut butter and cookies in a kid-friendly nod to her son. Both of these recipes were really exceptional, which made judging them that much more difficult. Without knowing whose creation was whose, Rachael and Guy chose the Creamsicle milkshake because it stepped outside of the box. Chilli regretted playing it safe, but she was still proud of what she made.
On Sunday’s episode of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, the challenge had the celebrity contestants at Mel’s Drive-In on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The goal was to reinvent three classic diner sandwiches: the tuna melt, the cheeseburger and the club sandwich. Unfortunately, not everyone lived up to the challenge. The diners found Dean’s and Chilli’s dishes from Team Guy their least favorite. In the end, Chilli was eliminated.
When you think about it, a diner sandwich makes a pretty darn good lunch, especially when you want to satisfy a craving for greasy spoon cuisine. Everyone has his or her favorite sandwich — you may even order the same one every time you visit a diner. FN Dish wants to know, What’s your favorite diner sandwich? Vote in the poll after the jump.

This season will have the celebrities facing real-life situations — far from the glamour of the red carpet — and will test more than just their cooking skills.
On tonight’s episode, the six remaining celebrities found themselves at Mel’s Drive-In. The challenge this time would be to create a full diner experience for the customers. One person from each team would be required to attend the front of the house while the remaining two cooked in the back. The goal was to test the celebrities’ adaptability in reinventing three classic diner dishes: the tuna melt, cheeseburger and club sandwich. Unfortunately, Team Guy was not allowed to choose who would make which sandwich, putting them at a disadvantage that landed them in the bottom again.
This season of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off takes the celebrity contestants to different places every challenge. In the first episode, the celebrities had it easy in the theater. The second episode had them far out of their element on a farm. But the third episode finds the contestants in a venue that’s pretty familiar for Guy.
In the above sneak-peek photo it appears Rachael and Guy are discussing the dishes in front of them, when all of a sudden they’re distracted by something. Whatever it is, it’s enough to draw a look from Guy and crack up Rachael. What did someone say to Rachael and Guy? What did Guy say in response? Will the teams be able to handle the challenge or will they give up?
You may recognize the contestants on Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off as that actor, singer, athlete, comedian, socialite, etc., but these celebrities also know their way around a kitchen. Food has played an important role in their lives and they’ve got plenty of stories to tell.

On tonight’s episode, the seven remaining celebrities took a trip to Underwood Family Farms. The challenge required them to cook a meal for the farm’s employees utilizing freshly picked produce. The one catch? The celebs themselves would have to pick the vegetables directly from the fields. As expected, not all of them were happy to trade in the red carpet for fields of dirt, but some took to the challenge surprisingly well. Two strong competitors, however, ended up in the bottom two.
