Rachael Ray cooked with Graham Kerr, host of The Galloping Gourmet, on a recent episode of the Rachael Ray Show. Graham is known for launching one of the first classic cooking shows and has inspired many television chefs (including Rachael) to follow in his footsteps. Try some of his classic recipes and see the video on AOL TV.

Guy Fieri dished out tips in a video with Extra revealing his three simple rules to follow when dieting. He cites, “Moderation, exercise and eating in courses to ensure that even when surrounded by food you don’t give in to temptation.” Guy makes sure that the food he consumes is “really good” since he doesn’t count calories and tries not to waste them — his guilty pleasure is anything salty. Watch the video on ExtraTV.

In her recent interview with People magazine, Rachael Ray confessed that she makes a dog-friendly version of almost every meal she makes for dinner for her dog Isaboo. In addition to home-cooked meals, Isaboo claims the center spot of the bed between Rachael and her husband, “We haven’t slept well in six years,” says Rachael.

Paula Deen is hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross on June 24 at her restaurant, The Lady and Son’s. Blood donors will receive a limited edition apron autographed by Paula, a buffet meal at The Lady & Sons along with their signature Gooey Butter Cakes. In The Kitchens: Royal Wedding Cakes From Last Cake Standing Contenders

by in Behind the Scenes, April 17th, 2011
Jason from Last Cake Standing spent hours in the Food Network Kitchens working on a special royal project.

Last week, three of the talented pastry wizards from Last Cake Standing Jason, Jörg and Richard — were up in Food Network Kitchens working on a special project. It wasn’t totally top secret, so we’ll spill the beans: They’d been asked by Rachael Ray to come up with over-the-top cakes inspired by the upcoming Royal Wedding.

Each cake artist took a different direction; beyond the Royal Wedding theme, they had free rein to follow their own inspirations. Tomorrow, the guys will present the final creations on the Rachael Ray Show and Rachael will declare a winner. We hear the Royal Couple is planning to serve traditional English fruitcake at the reception, but if Will and Kate happen to catch Rachael’s show and see these beauties, I’m thinking they might reconsider.

World Cup Eats: Go Team USA!

by in View All Posts, June 25th, 2010
Prosciutto-Wrapped Crudite
Need a simple soccer snack? Try Giada's prosciutto-wrapped veggies.

Run with the ball, because even if you aren’t a soccer fan, you can’t avoid World Cup fever. Go team USA! When Landon Donovan scored in the final minute against Algeria this past week, the overwhelming vuvuzelas never sounded so sweet. Can you say GOOOOOOOOOAL?!

When you tune in to the USA vs Ghana game Saturday have fast summer-stunner eats on hand. Each takes less than 20 minutes to prep; I’d suggest keeping your appetizers simple and fun so as not to distract from the screaming, high-fiving and even fist pumping.

Seven Layer Dip
Bring on the chips and Rachael's seven-layer dip!

To increase Team USA’s odds welcome your guests with Rachael’s Lucky 7 Layer Dip or one of Food Network’s other crowd-winning dips. Party it up with Giada’s Prosciutto-Wrapped Crudite for a mix of fresh summer veggies. And go for the goal with Bobby’s Grilled Flatbread with Asparagus Pesto! You can always rely on your guests to bring a classic six-pack but in case you want to up the World Cup ante let them wash everything down with Ina’s luscious Long Island Iced Tea.

What will you be munching on while watching the World Cup?

Rachael Ray’s New Bakeware is Without Compare

by in View All Posts, August 4th, 2009

Oven Lovin'
Listen up, Rachael Ray fans… Rachael’s got a brand-new line of bakeware, now at the Food Network Store! It’s called Oven Lovin’, and I’m really lovin’ it. I’ve been bursting at the seams wanting to tell you about it ever since I saw the line at the Chicago Housewares Show back in March. I was sworn to secrecy about it until launch, but the wonderful folks at Bonjour Gourmet—the company that produces Rachael’s cookware and bakeware—sent me some samples to try out at home. For those of us who love nothing more than playing around in the kitchen, getting new toys to play with is like being a kid on Christmas morning. And since I’m addicted to baking, getting the cookie sheets, muffin tins, cake pans, and loaf pans was like getting a visit from my kitchen fairy godmother. And boy, have I had fun with them.

Bobby and Rachael Debate

by in View All Posts, May 20th, 2009

Did anyone catch this mornings Rachael Ray Show? Rachael invited Bobby Flay, Sunny Anderson, Rocco DiSpirito, and Adam Perry Lang to have a round table chat on summer entertaining.

My favorite part was seeing Bobby and Rachael debate over burger patties. Not sure who won the debate, as both Rachael and Bobby stuck to their guns, but I’m curious to hear your guys’ take on the dispute. This is the disagreement:

Bobby Flay puts nothing INSIDE his burger patty. No chopped onions, no garlic, no bell pepper, not even salt and pepper. He liberally puts salt and pepper outside the patty, but nothing inside. (Here are Bobby’s perfect burger rules).

Rachael Ray likes to mix every ingredient combination possible in her burger patties: from worcestershire sauce to fennel seed to chipotles, and of course, salt and pepper.

Bobby’s argument: When Bobby wants a burger, he wants a burger….not meatloaf.

What side are you on?

-Rachael
