What to Watch: Easy Entertaining, Recipe Inspirations and Chopped Judges Competing on All-Stars

If you’re planning on entertaining soon or are looking for new recipe inspiration, Food Network has you covered with a lot of ideas this weekend. Not only that, but if you’re a fan of Chopped, you’ll want to tune into Chopped All-Stars where the tables have turned on four judges (watch a preview above), who are competing for the title of champion and $50,000 for charity.

On Saturday morning, Paula and entertaining guru James Farmer show you some easy and delicious entertaining recipes. Then Ree is cooking up a Mexican-inspired menu for a gathering of her investment club. Later, Giada is taking inspiration from the Venices of Italy and California to come up with her light and refreshing menu.

The cooking continues on Sunday morning as Guy is inspired to come up with recipes based on Chinese takeout items. Later in the morning, Jeff and his son, Lorenzo, learn how graham crackers and marshmallows are made, which leads Jeff to come up with an entire menu of sweet sandwiches.

In the evening it’s competition time beginning with Cupcake Wars, where the bakers are competing for a chance to serve at the People’s Choice Awards. Then on Chopped All-Stars, four judges compete against one another and are judged by their own peers. On Restaurant: Impossible, Robert helps a couple loosen control over their restaurant so they can let the next generation take the reins.

What to Watch: Cooking for Family and Friends and Amateur Competition

Chopped judgesThis weekend, Food Network has all-new episodes from Paula, Ree, Giada and Guy as well as a night of competition on Sunday. It all starts Saturday with Paula’s Best Dishes, where it’s about cooking comforting foods for the ones you hold dear with a Sunday supper. Afterward, Ree is cooking breakfast for her boys and dinner for her best friend. Then on Giada at Home, it’s an episode of recipes that are just as comforting as they are decadent. In the afternoon it’s a video game-themed episode of Sugar Dome.

First thing in the morning on Sunday, watch Guy put a twist on turkey burgers and make spicy margaritas. At night watch amateur cooks attempt to prove they have culinary chops on Chopped. Then it’s more amateur cooking on Worst Cooks, where the contestants’ knife skills will be put to the test. Finally it’s a face-off between Iron Chef Bobby Flay and Challenger Micah Wexler on Iron Chef America.

What to Watch: Family Recipes and a New Season of Worst Cooks

Bobby and AnneThis weekend, Food Network has new episodes of cooking shows and competition shows. It all starts on Saturday with Paula, Ree and Giada. On Paula’s Best Dishes, with the help of her husband Michael, Paula’s cooking a kid-friendly meal for their grandson Henry. Afterward on The Pioneer Woman, Ree is making a hearty meal for her boys who’ve been working hard out on the farm. Later on Giada at Home, Giada is cooking through her arsenal of easy meatball recipes. In the afternoon it’s an amusement park-themed episode of Sugar Dome.

On Sunday, start your evening with an all-new episode of Chopped on a special night. Returning losers are given another chance to redeem themselves. Then it’s a brand-new season of Worst Cooks in America. Anne and Bobby assemble their teams from a crew of hopeless home cooks for culinary boot camp. Last, there’s a new episode of Chef Wanted on a special night. Tune in to see Anne Burrell put four chef candidates through the ringer on the toughest job interview of their lives for the chance to become the chef of a Puerto Rican hot spot.

What to Watch: Chocoholics’ Recipes, Aliens, a Hollywood Dinner

Start Saturday morning with a chocolate-filled menu from Paula Deen, who’s in the kitchen with actress Angie Harmon. Afterward, Ree is celebrating with all the foods she loves. On Barefoot Contessa, Ina’s reinventing a lobster salad, learning the secrets to a chocolate cake and more. Right after on Giada at Home, Giada’s showing her love for chocolate with a chocolate-inspired menu. In the afternoon, on Sugar Dome, teams of artists are creating edible creations inspired by outer space.

On Sunday morning, Guy’s making a delicious dinner of stuffed peppers and for dessert, churros. Later, on The Best Thing I Ever Made, there are more chocolate recipes to satisfy even the biggest chocoholic. In the evening, the finalists on Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off take on a celebrity dinner party challenge to determine who wins it all. And on Iron Chef America, it’s a heated rematch between Iron Chef Morimoto and challenger Chef Cantu.

What to Watch: A Weekend of Comforting Meals and Competition

Later, on Barefoot Contessa, Ina’s in Napa having dinner with her husband, Jeffrey, and Chef Michael Chiarello. In the afternoon, there’s a new episode of Sugar Dome inspired by cops and robbers.

On Sunday, catch up on all the drama and action on Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off with a marathon starting at 6pm/5c; then watch an all-new episode at a special time of 10pm/9c. The celebrities will take on food trucks in their next challenge.

Sunday morning Guy’s cooking with friends in Kentucky and he’s got a cocktail recipe to cap off the meal. Then on The Best Thing I Ever Made it’s meat lovers’ madness. Sunday evening it’s girls vs. boys on Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off as the celebrity teams must cater to groups of kids. And finally on Iron Chef America, it’s Iron Chef Michael Symon vs. Chef Celina Tio, former competitor on Season 3 of The Next Iron Chef.

Paula’s Best Dishes: A Very Chatty Christmas

When Paula and her longtime friends, sisters Amy and Suzette, get together in the kitchen, it’s a fun-filled day of cooking and catching up on old times. Paula makes Crawfish, Bacon and Mushroom Stuffed Beef Tenderloin. Amy and Suzette make an Eggplant Rice Dressing. For dessert, Paula reinvents the classic fruitcake as a bread pudding and serves it up with whiskey sauce. It’s a Southern meal worthy of the holiday, all wrapped up in love and memories.
