10 Things You Didn't Know About Guy FieriYou know him for his trademark bleached hair, for flame-covered cooking gear, and, of course, his monster hit shows Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy’s Big Bite and now Guy’s Grocery Games. But there’s plenty more that you don’t know about his royal dudeness, Guy Fieri. Read on to discover a few surprising insights the Food Network star shared during his cooking demo at this year’s New York City Wine & Food Festival.

1. He doesn’t believe in kid-friendly recipes. “What do your kids like to eat? That’s a good kid-friendly recipe,” he says. Even better: Ask them to help in the kitchen. “Get them involved with whatever you cook. Let them feel something!” It’ll turn picky eaters into enthusiastic ones, Guy says.

2. He’d take a wok over the grill any day. “The wok is one of my favorite things to work with when I’m camping,” he says. “Outdoor cooking is not just about hot dogs and hamburgers. There are so many styles of food you can make.”

On Saturday, Ree is cooking up a dinner to welcome friends who are moving back to town. Then Trisha’s cooking a graduation picnic for her niece and nephew. On Giada at Home, Giada’s offering up a taste of barbecue throughout the nation. Then on Sunday, Jamie Deen is cooking a meal for his firefighter friends. And afterward, Guy gets in the kitchen with his Team Guy champion from Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, Dean McDermott. Then on Sandwich King, Jeff cooks up a number of different burgers with his son, Lorenzo, by his side.

On Sunday night, take your seats for a special night of competition. First it’s an episode of Chopped that challenges the contestants to fry up something in each of their dishes. Then on Sunday morning, Guy’s cooking up a meal with his mom; they’re making pork roast with beans and rice, a childhood favorite. And on Sandwich King, Jeff is learning the secrets to baking biscuits from his mother-in-law.

On Sunday evening, watch a poker-themed episode of Cupcake Wars with special guest judge Mimi Rogers. Finally, it’s Round 2 of the ICA tournament as Iron Chefs Jose Garces and Marc Forgione face off in Kitchen Stadium.

Start your Saturday morning with Paula, who’s cooking a feast of sloppy but delicious Tex-Mex inspired recipes with her friend Cheryl. Later in the morning, Giada makes modern interpretations of Mexican dishes. On Sunday morning, Guy’s cooking a south-of-the-border feast. And on Sandwich King, Jeff is making Mexican wraps.

On Sunday evening tune in to all the competition, starting with a new episode of Cupcake Wars, where the bakers compete for a chance to serve their goods at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival. Then it’s the finale of Chopped All-Stars. Watch to see if Sunny, Gavin, Scott or Laila takes the championship. And last, it’s the premiere of Iron Chef America: Tournament of Champions, in which Iron Chef battles Iron Chef. In this first battle, Geoffrey Zakarian is up against Alex Guarnaschelli.

What to Watch: Easy Entertaining, Recipe Inspirations and Chopped Judges Competing on All-Stars

If you’re planning on entertaining soon or are looking for new recipe inspiration, Food Network has you covered with a lot of ideas this weekend. Not only that, but if you’re a fan of Chopped, you’ll want to tune into Chopped All-Stars where the tables have turned on four judges (watch a preview above), who are competing for the title of champion and $50,000 for charity.

On Saturday morning, Paula and entertaining guru James Farmer show you some easy and delicious entertaining recipes. Then Ree is cooking up a Mexican-inspired menu for a gathering of her investment club. Later, Giada is taking inspiration from the Venices of Italy and California to come up with her light and refreshing menu.

The cooking continues on Sunday morning as Guy is inspired to come up with recipes based on Chinese takeout items. Later in the morning, Jeff and his son, Lorenzo, learn how graham crackers and marshmallows are made, which leads Jeff to come up with an entire menu of sweet sandwiches.

In the evening it’s competition time beginning with Cupcake Wars, where the bakers are competing for a chance to serve at the People’s Choice Awards. Then on Chopped All-Stars, four judges compete against one another and are judged by their own peers. On Restaurant: Impossible, Robert helps a couple loosen control over their restaurant so they can let the next generation take the reins.

It all starts Saturday with Paula’s Best Dishes, where it’s about cooking comforting foods for the ones you hold dear with a Sunday supper. Afterward, Ree is cooking breakfast for her boys and dinner for her best friend. Then on Giada at Home, it’s an episode of recipes that are just as comforting as they are decadent. In the afternoon it’s a video game-themed episode of Sugar Dome.

First thing in the morning on Sunday, watch Guy put a twist on turkey burgers and make spicy margaritas. At night watch amateur cooks attempt to prove they have culinary chops on Chopped. Then it’s more amateur cooking on Worst Cooks, where the contestants’ knife skills will be put to the test. Finally it’s a face-off between Iron Chef Bobby Flay and Challenger Micah Wexler on Iron Chef America.

In the evening, the finalists on Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off take on a celebrity dinner party challenge to determine who wins it all. And on Iron Chef America, it’s a heated rematch between Iron Chef Morimoto and challenger Chef Cantu.
