Fresh off of last week’s news that both Ina Garten and Andrew Zimmern earned coveted James Beard Award nominations, we here at Food Network have another reason to celebrate. The nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards were announced on Wednesday, and Food Network racked up nine, while Travel Channel collected two. The 44th annual awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, honors exceptional work by people and programs broadcast on daytime TV (airing 2 a.m. to 6 p.m.) in 2016.

It’s been an especially eventful few weeks at Food Network. Fresh off the news that Ina Garten and Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction, as well as Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods, are among the elite few to have received 2015 James Beard Award nominations, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences just announced that several of your favorite Food Network chefs and shows have received nominations for the 42nd annual Daytime Emmys.
Bobby and Ina continue their award-season hot streak with nominations for Outstanding Culinary Host for their work on Barefoot Contessa: Back to Basics and Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction, respectively. They join Danny Boome of Z Living’s Good Food America, Edward Lee and Magnus Nilsson of PBS’ The Mind of a Chef, and Martha Stewart for PBS’ Martha Bakes.
Ina’s Barefoot Contessa: Back to Basics is also nominated for Outstanding Culinary Program, as is Guy’s Big Bite, hosted by Guy Fieri, and Cooking Channel’s My Grandmother’s Ravioli, hosted by Mo Rocca. Other nominees in the category include Martha Bakes and The Mind of a Chef, both on PBS.

This year’s Daytime Emmy Award nominations are out, and the cooking-show sector was well represented among the nominees. Food Network was honored by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences with five nominations. Cooking Channel got four. PBS and syndicated culinary shows were also among the nominees in various categories.
Food Network’s Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction and Giada At Home, and Cooking Channel’s My Grandmother’s Ravioli were nominated for Outstanding Culinary Program, as were PBS’s A Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking, The Mind of a Chef and the syndicated Beer Geeks.
Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis were both also nominated in the category of Outstanding Culinary Host for Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction and Giada At Home, respectively, as was Rachael Ray for her Food Network show Rachael Ray’s Week in a Day. The Mind of a Chef hosts April Bloomfield and Sean Brock shared a nomination, rounding out that category.

In May, FN Dish announced that Food Network had been nominated for 12 different Emmy Awards. This past Saturday, two of our very own stars took home these coveted honors at the 39th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards held in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Congratulations to Bobby Flay and the production team for winning Outstanding Culinary Program for Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction and to Sandra Lee for winning Outstanding Lifestyle/ Culinary Host on Semi-Homemade Cooking.
Sandra’s makeup artists, Mark Payne and Alx Galasinao, took home a Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup on Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee, as well.
Today, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees for the 39th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, and Food Network has multiple reasons to celebrate — make that 12 reasons.
Four of our very own shows are nominated for Outstanding Culinary Program: Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction, Giada at Home, Guy’s Big Bite and Sandwich King.
