Recently Top 5 Restaurants revealed the desserts that are optimally chocolatey and devilishly decadent. Find out where to get these amazing creations.

Cheese pizza or chocolate pizza: Which do you prefer? Just a glimpse of the Chocolate Chunk Pizza at Max Brenner in Philadelphia will certainly give you your answer. The restaurant focuses on all incarnations of chocolate, and its pizza is a customer favorite. Topped with milk and white chocolate, marshmallows and peanut butter sauce, it gets served with a chocolate syringe filled with chocolate ganache, which can be squirted anywhere you like.

The creators of The Confectional’s Quadruple Chocolate Cheesecake in Seattle were smart when they made the sweet in mini size. This way you can enjoy the rich dessert without feeling guilty, or sample more because they’re so small. Studded with milk, white and extra dark chocolate buttons, the cheesecake has a sour cream and sugar topping to add a bit of tartness.

Cookie dough in a pie crust? Why not, says Tara Royer Steele, the head chef and creator of the Sweet ‘n Salty Pie at Royers Round Top Cafe in Round Top, Texas. This amazing combination starts with a lard crust that’s filled with a chocolate cookie batter studded with caramel chips and chocolate chips. Its finishing touch is a sprinkling of sea salt. It’s served with a scoop of ice cream, “to cut the sweetness,” says owner Bud Royer.

At Boston pizzeria Picco, owner Rick Katz has come up with a chocolate concoction based on his love for ice cream: the Dark Chocolate Brownie Sundae. Everything is made in-house, beginning with the rich chocolate ice cream, the fudgy brownies and the chocolate sauce. The restaurant uses a blend of 70 percent and 99 percent chocolate in the ice cream and sauce to ensure that the chocolate flavor comes through intensely.

At Strip House in New York City, you’ll find a cake that’s so rich, so overwhelmingly decadent that you’ll forget any other cake exists in the world. The 24-layer chocolate cake is made of 12 layers of chocolate cake moistened with vanilla syrup, then 11 layers of chocolate custard, and finally a top layer of ganache. The secret to this dessert’s rich chocolate flavor is the premium cocoa powder imported from Spain and the freshly brewed Sumatran coffee, both of which go into the batter.
