Next, Daphne Brogdon shows you how to make both sweet and savory recipes using steam.
On Sunday night, gear up for three hours of back-to-back competition, starting with Triple G. Watch as the contestants try to make a steak sandwich without bread because in this final challenge, Guy Fieri throws a major curveball: The odd-numbered aisles are off-limits. Then, watch as Damaris guides Food Network finalists who must present holiday dishes during a video presentation while representing their culinary points of view. Finally, end your night with Alton Brown’s evilicious challenges on Cutthroat Kitchen at 10|9c.
Marcela Valladolid is back, and she’s whipping up Steamed Clams with Chorizo and Tequila. Next, learn clever ways to use old kitchen tools and how to take condiments up a notch with extra flavor. Then, Damaris Phillips stops by make her Buffalo Chicken Pasta Salad. Plus, get new uses for pineapple, a spin on s’mores and a rum rickey for a fruity summer cocktail.
It’s 5 o’clock in Positano! Giada hosts a cocktail party on her villa deck for neighbors and friends, and she’s serving up an assortment of Italian cocktails along with California-inspired small bites. Her menu includes Vegan Artichoke Arancini and Crostini with Smoked Whitefish plus her Artichoke Manhattan and The Gentle Italian cocktail.
Daphne Brogdon has been experimenting with steam, and creating easy and delicious recipes in the process. Her menu features Steamed Halibut with Coconut Sauce, Basmati Rice with Flax Seeds and Garbanzo Beans, and Steamed Vegetables with Sesame-Chile Oil. She ends on a sweet note with her Steamed Chocolate Pudding Cakes.
In a game of Five Ingredients or Less, the chefs must make their best comfort meal during this not-so-comforting challenge. Then, they have to create an upscale dinner using a grocery list that includes ketchup and pretzels. The final face-off gets even trickier, when the chefs are asked to make a steak sandwich without bread because the odd-numbered aisles are off-limits.
While focusing on their lifestyle brands, the finalists must each create and present a dish that a home cook can prepare in 30 to 45 minutes. Then, they must use their culinary point of view to cook and film a video that reflects a holiday. Damaris Phillips is there to be their guest director for the video presentations. She then joins Giada De Laurentiis, Bobby Flay, Susie Fogelson and Bob Tuschman at the judging table.
In this episode, the challenges are just as evilicious as you thought when one chef gets hassled by haggis. Then, another chef faces huge obstacles with a pair of chopsticks. Finally, someone learns that they are not so sweet on Key lime pie.
