12 Droolworthy Chocolate Desserts to Make This Year (or ASAP)
What are your goals for 2015? Eat more vegetables? Exercise more? These are two popular (and honorable) ambitions. And while the January/February issue of Food Network Magazine is filled with delicious good-for-you dishes to help you stay on track, it also includes recipes to work on a different kind of resolution: to eat more chocolate. That’s right — you've been challenged to a year of chocolate.
With a new amazing treat spotlighted for each month, the magazine's sweet and decadent spread is almost like a chocolate calendar. Consider it a dessert-of-the-month club. February's chocolate mousse (pictured below) is topped with adorable puff pastry hearts and is perfect to make for your someone special this Valentine's Day. And if you missed January's kickoff confection, no one would complain if you made it now. (A slice of dark chocolate cake covered in fudgy frosting and coat of crunchy crumbs would be hard to refuse.)
2015 is a chocolate lover’s dream. Looking ahead, there's a croissant bread pudding with pockets of melted milk chocolate in March (pictured above), a caramel banana ice cream pie in July and a multilayered German chocolate cheesecake in October, to name just a few. Flip through the gallery below to be inspired and start planning.
The editors at the magazine would love to keep up with your chocolate escapades. If you upload images of your chocolate creations to any of your social media accounts, be sure to include the hashtag #FNMag.
