Food Network is home to some good, healthy competition. And sometimes the competition is made even fiercer when there’s an ambitious element added to the mix. This may just be the case for The Great Food Truck Race and Cutthroat Kitchen this weekend. Both shows feature meals that put shellfish front and center, which can mean imminent trouble for Cutthroat contestants yet a mouthwatering delight for food truck customers. Not to be missed is an edge-of-your-seat episode of Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off, where the remaining kid contenders put together a food festival and only one leaves victorious.

Also, if you're entertaining this weekend, be sure to catch Giada at Home and Trisha's Southern Kitchen. It's a family affair as both Giada and Trisha invite their relatives over to dish up some delicious, down-home platters. Giada channels her Italian roots with her Aunt Raffy as they make Pizza Rustica, Pizza with Buzz and Escarole Pie. While Trisha has her nephew and his friends over to strictly do the eating, she cooks up a hearty meal of Sausage and Peppers, Garth's Pasta Salad, Power Balls and Chewy Chocolate Chip cookies. Likewise, you can get inventive with Ree as she concocts bean-substituted burritos, tacos and burgers on The Pioneer Woman. And tune in for a special fall-themed episode of The Kitchen.

Ree's special ingredient this week is black beans. She serves them up with Mango Guacamole and incorporates them into a Taco Pizza. She also shows that they're great for making Grilled Veggie Burritos even more filling and are great for a quick Black Bean Burger.

Saturday 10a|9c

Trisha's nephew and his college friends are visiting, and she's prepared an ample meal for their appetites. Trisha whips up a protein-packed meal of Sausage, Peppers and Onions; Garth's Pasta Salad; Power Balls and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Saturday 10:30a|9:30c

The Kitchen is celebrating fall, using the best ingredients of the season. The co-hosts start off by sipping homemade Pumpkin Spiced Lattes with Maile Carpenter from Food Network Magazine. Next Katie cooks a delicious Prosciutto-Wrapped Halibut for a fancy fall dinner. Mo Rocca helps Geoffrey make Short Rib and Spinach-Stuffed Raviolis. Then apples get reinvented with clever recipes including an Apple Chip Nacho smothered in Chocolate and Peanut Butter Sauce.

Saturday 11a|10c

Giada De Laurentiis and her Aunt Raffy team up in the kitchen to prepare recipes inspired by family favorites. The menu includes Escarole Pie, Pizza Rustica and Pizza With Buzz, a favorite of Raffy's husband.

Sunday 10:30a|9:30c

There's only one epic challenge left for these amazing kid chefs. The kids host a food festival where they will cook and perform a live demo of their signature dish for a hungry crowd. While those at the festival are asked to give their opinions, Chef Curtis Stone is the ultimate decider in who will be crowned the winner.

Sunday 8|7c

The three remaining teams head to Mobile, Ala., where Tyler challenges them to cook locally. After enduring subzero temperatures, one team acquires nearly 100 pounds of fresh Gulf shrimp free of charge from a local wholesaler. Tyler challenges them to add a brunch dish to their menu, and local chef Pete Bloeme helps Tyler judge the winner of the Truck Stop Cooking Challenge. One team is eliminated, leaving the final two teams primed for the grand finale.

Sunday 9|8c

It's never easy for the Cutthroat competitors: One chef is forced to work on a traditional Japanese tea table, while another chef has to make a crab cake with a toy crab claw in one hand. That's not the worst of it, though: Another chef has to prepare all their food in a hammock.
