November's Name This Dish Contest Winner 2013Each month, thousands of Food Network Magazine readers submit clever names for the back page’s Name This Dish contest. Previous dishes include coconut fried chicken (winning name: “Hawaii Fried-O“), a stacked salad (“Produce Stand“) and a steak sandwich (“Kraut Pleaser“). In the November 2013 issue, we asked readers to dream up names for these savory muffins (pictured above). Some of our favorites were:

Black Friday Breakfast
Leslie Veach
Cleburne, Texas

Corn Stuffins
Kathleen Bosco
Manahawkin, N.J.

Mayflower Muffins
Kandi Villafania
Folsom, Louisiana

But the winner, Lindsay Chianese from Sunland, Calif., really hit the mark when she dubbed it “Thyme Savors.” Want to take a stab at naming this month’s rolled crepes (pictured below)? If you come up with the most fun, unexpected and inventive name, you could win $500 to spend on FoodNetworkStore.com. I sent in the November name that dish with the name Popcornacopia. Some other lady received the credit, I submitted the day the issue cane out.. I find it extremely suspicious and wrong… I’m so angry about this that I’m done with the magazine!!!! I was so excited because I knew it was a great name for that particular dish!!! My friend was the wrong who read it and texted me that I hate been robbed!! I called her the day I submitted.

Joy, I also had that name for the popcorn recipe. I believe the rules state that if the same suggestion is made, they will draw for a winner. I suspect many people came up with that name. You should try again!
