Celebrities Compete in the Chopped Tournament of Stars

In an all-new, five-part Chopped competition premiering on Sun., March 9 at 9|8c, athletes, RvG alums, comedians and actors will compete for a chance to win a $50,000 grand prize for charity. Over four themed episodes, celebrities will face the dreaded mystery basket ingredients and cook in three rounds — appetizer, entree and dessert. One celebrity from each of the four episodes will advance to the finale on Sun., April 6 at 9|8c. One lucky competitor will walk away with the grand prize and bragging rights as the Chopped Tournament of Stars champion.

Sports Stars — Sun., March 9 at 9|8c

Four famous athletes bring their fierceness and passion to the Chopped Kitchen. The competitors open the first basket to find an amphibious ingredient. Then in the entree round, they must cook with strange eggs and fruit. The final two sports stars who make it to the dessert round put their athleticism and enthusiasm into making a great final dish.

Rachael vs. Guy — Sun., March 16 at 9|8c

These four competitors are all alums of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, but they have never stepped foot in the Chopped Kitchen. How will they do in the appetizer basket? Then the stars create a pizza party in the entree round after discovering leftover slices in the basket. And with hopes of making it to the finale, two competitors must make desserts using chocolate bars.

Comedians — Sun., March 23 at 9|8c

Bringing the funny to the Chopped Kitchen, four comics compete for their favorite charities. The stars open up the first basket and get candy. Then in the entree round, the three comedians left must must use precooked foods. And with cupcakes in the dessert basket, transforming the ingredient is key for the two finalists.

Actors — Sun., March 30 at 9|8c

With only one spot left in the charity tournament, four actors bravely take on the role of chef. In the first round, one competitor tries desperately to figure out the right cooking technique for a tricky ingredient. An odd fruit and a spiny crustacean are two of the mystery ingredients that the competitors must demystify in the entree round. In the final round, the two remaining stars make a mess in the kitchen, along with some very creative desserts.

Finale — Sun., April 6 at 9|8c

The four finalists open the first basket and get a drive-through snack and a cold dessert. Which star will have good luck with duck in the entree basket? The final round of the celebrity tournament is bound to be intense. Do the competitors have enough culinary stamina left to make something yummy, beautiful and creative from churros and champagne? In the end, one celebrity competitor will walk away with $50,000 for his or her charity and bragging rights as champion.
