Chefs Attempt to Beat Bobby Flay on Brand-New Series

by in Shows, January 27th, 2014

Bobby FlayJust this past summer you watched two fearless chefs put their reputations on the line as they attempted to take down Bobby Flay in the kitchen. Beginning this March, all-new hopeful competitors will head to New York City to do the same on the first-ever season of Beat Bobby Flay. These established industry professionals are confident in their cooking chops, but when it comes to facing off against an Iron Chef, everyday skills may not be enough to succeed.

Before the chefs can go head-to-head against the famed culinary master, they’ll have to prove their worth in a showdown against each other. Bobby’s closest friends and longtime chef-colleagues will be on hand to judge this preliminary cook-off before deciding which one can advance to battle with Bobby. While Bobby may have years of experience in culinary competitions behind him, his competitor will have one key advantage: choosing the challenge dish. With only seconds of on-the-spot thinking to prepare, Bobby will have to make the ultimate version of his rival’s dish in the hopes that a new crop of judges will select his as supreme in a blind tasting.

What can you expect from Beat Bobby Flay? Lofty expectations from special guests like Michael Symon, Anne Burrell, Alex Guarnaschelli and others, to be sure, plus no-nonsense culinary showdowns with little room for error.

Don’t miss a sneak peek of Beat Bobby Flay on Monday, March 3 at 10|9c. Then, beginning March 6, tune in every Thursday at 10|9c to catch an all-new episode.

i really cant stand to watch him he is so rough i don't see redeeming anything for B.F if you root for stardom comes at the cost of belittle people or saying your going to beat there most well known dishes i personally don't see how anyone gets inspired to cook from a person like that. I come to a point where i just tune out the channels anytime i see him on. I get we like to see comp. but if its the same guy over and over beating people to prove the point hes the so called best there is nothing to learn from a person like that.

Does anyone else think Katie Lee is egotistical? I just don't like her holier than thou attitude.

Does anyone know who won last night? The dish was clam linguini and I was sure the contestant would win, but fell asleep. Urgh!

The worst directing/editing of any show I have ever seem. BF described a loss and the entire "live" crowd gasped. Are you kidding me? Three of us were watching and we all burst out in laughter. Either the audience was packed with BF fanatics or the editing was done by a 6 year old. Hokey beyond belief.
