Butter Spritz Cookies are quintessential buttery bites that come together in just 23 minutes. The only special equipment you’ll need for these sprinkled shapes is a cookie press.

Pure vanilla extra and almond extract are key to the great flavor in these buttery cookies. Red and green sprinkles are featured for the Christmas holiday but you can pick your favorite colors and make these at any time of the year.

To get the best out of their six to eight minute bake time, observe the results (from left to right): parchment on a regular sheet pan for seven minutes, no parchment on a sheet pan for seven minutes, nonstick pan with no parchment for five minutes and a nonstick pan with no parchment for six minutes.

Let them rest on the baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack.

I once made a cookie that i can not remember the name. It was rolled out the dought and cut about 1 inch x 3 inches rectangle in and angle it was placed on a cookie sheet and then a frosting was put on top (i think) put in the oven and had to make sure it did not over cook. Very light in color. I remember that the recpie said that this was a cookie that you had in culinary school to do because of the amount of small details. The cookie was very light and delightfull to eat like sweet butter in your mouth. if you could give me the name and recipe would greatly apppreciate it.
