Behind the Scenes: FoodNetwork.com Upgrade in Progress!
Here on FN Dish, fans get a daily helping of the latest popular recipes from FoodNetwork.com, plus news and updates about favorite chefs, shows and restaurants. Just a few weeks ago we rolled out an all-new Recipe Box feature to help you save crave-worthy Food Network recipes (plus your own personal ones and those from other websites) and a shopping-list tool that stays synced no matter which device you're using, from the kitchen to the living room to the market and back again. Now, for the latest look behind the curtain, we're sharing a sneak peek of FoodNetwork.com's upcoming website upgrade.
We're always looking for improved ways to serve Food Network fans, home cooks and eaters, and as we change platforms (that's webspeak for something like a home's plumbing), we're in the middle of refreshing the site's look. What you'll be getting: more info about the times, places and faces you love from your favorite shows, more mouthwatering food and how-to pictures, and easier, faster ways of discovering new and favorite recipes. As we continue to ready the site, we want you to see the progress and how the new sections will be quick to navigate, inspiring weeknight and weekend cooking that's fun and simple.
And for those of you who come to us for the latest shows — from Guy's or Robert's latest adventures to the tough competition on Chopped to Giada's latest, greatest Italian meals — our show schedules and episode information will help you decide what to watch next.
And we're not done. We hear your asks for more information on where to eat like a Food Network star; our restaurants section will help you plan trips to the diners Guy loves, to one of Bobby's restaurants or to the bakeries where Cupcake Wars champions reign, to name a few.
Still to come are a cool new social media toolbar for easy sharing, an improved mobile experience for when you're on the go and an enhanced search experience to get just what you’re looking for. In the meantime, the preview site is a work in progress — a small portion of what’s available here on our complete site, where as ever you can browse all the best Thanksgiving and holiday-planning content there is. But take a minute to click around and tell us what you think, what you’re looking forward to and what you think should be next on the menu.
