Take a Tour of Flavortown Market from the Set of Guy’s Grocery Games

by in Shows, October 15th, 2013

Guy FieriOn the new series Guy’s Grocery Games, premiering this Sunday, Oct. 20 at 8pm/7c, four chefs compete in three rounds of challenges that incorporate both grocery shopping and cooking. The contestants must tackle the everyday challenges of shopping in the aisles of the supermarket, where every ingredient isn’t always available or in stock. Host Guy Fieri sets the cooking challenges and provides the chefs with their shopping lists. By the end, only one chef will get the opportunity to win up to $20,000 in cash.

You would think that for a show like this the competition would take place in a large film studio, but in actuality, the set of Grocery Games is located inside a real supermarket, the Fields Market in West Hills, Calif., to be exact. This is where all the games, cooking and judging go down.

This has been up for two days already and no comments. Just this one. Only 3 likes on facebook. Where's the interest? Maybe the public has burned out on any more competition shows.

I think it'll be great!! SO exciting that it filmed right by my house and I had no clue haha

Ho Hum! After watching the first episode I can tell this won't last long. Guy looks a little out of his element here…doesn't seem comfortable in the game show host role. So tired of these competitions. Greedy people with their "sob" stories. Hey…we all have our sob stories and could use a buck or two,you know? Monotonous to all H-E double hockey sticks!.

Can we come and watch the show tape live?
