This weekend, Food Network has all new episodes, sure to get your creative juices flowing and your competitive spirit going. On Saturday, watch The Pioneer Woman, Heartland Table and a special wrestling-themed Cupcake Wars.
Then on Sunday, the kids on Rachael vs. Guy are inspired to create menus based on a new animated film. On The Great Food Truck Race, the remaining teams roll into Chicago and find themselves getting judged by the mayor and Mike Ditka in two difficult challenges. Then on Cutthroat Kitchen, the chefs must deal with problems that arise from the culinary sabotages that are dealt by their competitors.
Cowboy Josh is taking Alex on as his ranch apprentice, and they’re going to be ready for a stick-to-your-ribs lunch. So Ree is fixing Supreme Pizza Burgers, a fabulous Quick Italian Salad and frozen Fruit Pops. As a thank-you to Josh, she’s making his favorite chocolate dessert — French Silk Pie to take home.

Bologna Days has been occurring weekly in Amy Thielen’s parents’ Minnesota hometown since the 1960s. It’s a celebration of hot ring bologna — all you can eat — coming fresh from the smoker at Thielen Meats, operated by Amy’s cousins. This is a show about lake-cabin food, which includes Midwestern Fried Bologna, Peppered Pork Loin and Parmesan Sandwiches on Grilled Flatbread, and Fried Onion Dip.

The bad girls of Cupcake Wars battle to win the hearts of special guest judges, WWE Divas Alicia Fox and Layla. At stake is a chance to bring their cupcakes to WWE’s SummerSlam, as well as a $10,000 prize.

After a blindfolded taste test, the kid chefs must dream up a feast of food and animal mashups, inspired by the new movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. Guest judge Chef Duff Goldman will choose the winner.

Tyler starts the finalists off with a Chicago-style pizza challenge judged by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. After the mayor chooses the winner, the teams get ready to sell and are given their Speed Bump. The teams must keep a minimum of five dishes on their menu for the rest of the race. On day two, the teams must use another famed Chicago food in all their dishes, Polish sausage. Once the teams sell 300 sausages, they race to Mike Ditka’s restaurant, where he himself awards the prize and punishment. The winning team will get a five-hour head start to the next city.

Things really heat up in the kitchen as one chef forces an opponent to create a perfect grilled cheese with a hand torch. Then, one chef might come off like a big jerk as he or she makes an opponent fill a shepherd’s pie with beef jerky. Finally, we’ll find out how a fortune cookie actually changes one chef’s fortune in a climactic egg roll showdown.
