Food TrucksThe start of the fourth season of The Great Food Truck Race is just a few days away. Leading up to the premiere on Sunday, August 18 at 9pm/8c, FN Dish has been introducing a new food truck team every day. With $50,000 in prize money and a free food truck on the line, it’s a high-stakes race to the finish line.

Food Truck: Tikka Tikka Taco

Team Members: Shaun, Sam, Michael (pictured above)

Home Base: St. Louis

Food Concept: Indian tacos

Brothers Shaun and Michael and their uncle Sam want to spread their unique fusion of Indian and Pakistani cuisines in the form of tacos with their Tikka Tikka Taco food truck. After returning from deployment in Afghanistan, Shaun wanted to find a fulfilling purpose in life outside of the Army, so he and his brother decided a business combining the most important things in their life — family and food — would be the right direction. Joined by their uncle Sam, the brothers want to leverage his recipes to serve up family specialties of Chicken Tikka, Beef Bihari and Tandoori Wings. Each team member brings his own expertise to the race, which they believe will help them put a mark on the map for their family food truck business.

Great idea for a food truck! I love when my fellow Indians make it in the food business because our cuisine has so much to offer and can be easily fused with basically anything! Wish you guys were in Chicago! Good luck..keep on truckin'!
