Home Base: Sea Bright, N.J.

Food Concept: Comfort foods with a breakfast twist

Joanne and her friends Ilene and Tim want to bring their Jersey Shore spirit to the rest of the nation with their comfort food breakfast offerings as Boardwalk Breakfast Empire. Joanne’s well-known restaurant, Steve’s Breakfast and Lunch, which she ran for 27 years, was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Unable to reopen the eatery, she is now determined to reinvent it as a food truck business. With dishes like the famous Hangover Helper Breakfast bringing in long lines of customers at the former restaurant, the team is sure they’ll be able to quickly grow a new customer base. Winning a food truck would mean rebuilding the business as well as their dream.

Ran it for 27 years? Did you start in the restaurant business at 13? Good luck, either way.

Where did it mention her age? If u saw somewhere let me know. She could be in her 40's or 50's, It aint like our mothers or grandmas day when they had gray hair, and sagging bosom and big hips.
