Short Rib Burgers, Indian Favorites and Chicken Pie on Triple D Tonight

by in Shows, June 17th, 2013

Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive-Ins and DivesTonight on the all-new episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (10pm/9c), Guy’s taking it across the country for some mean meat dishes. Missed last week’s episode? Stay tuned for the marathon that will leave you hungry for a road trip.

This week Guy throws it back in Denver with an old-school short rib burger and a tart apple strudel pastry with a savory twist. Guy ventures to the Arizona sunshine to find a Pakistani spot dishing out authentic goat. The festival of flavors continues with the Tempe, Ariz., restaurant’s Tandoori chicken roasted with insane spices. Next, Guy will fall for the flavors in the city of brotherly love. One local Philadelphia joint is crankin’ out chicken pie without the pot and grillin’ up Triple D-worthy fresh octopus.

Join Guy on his coast-to-coast journey starting at 6pm/5c — follow along and bookmark the restaurants as he goes, then try your hand at the recipes.

From north and south to east and west, Guy’s been everywhere. Next time you’re traveling, download the On the Road app or check out this map to find all of Guy’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives destinations.

La Quinta Baking Company is a French restaurant and bakery. I am trying to find the website so that I can recommend this lovely restaurant to Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. This restaurant is literarily nestled in the Point Happy Area of La Quinta. The restaurant is a bistro, bakery and Patisserie. It has become very popular with the local people of La Quinta. The menu is exceptional with French flavor and the pastry is so delicious that you can't leave without taking a few pastries home, and a loaf of French bread. After living in this area for 12 years, which is right next door to Indian Wells, I can say that this is a restaurant that is worthy of excellent reviews. Please take a look. Sorry Guy. I will miss your show as i just took everything off my DVR that is Food Network for the poor choice of Paula Deen's dismiss. I cant support a network over a rash and stupid choice.

My husband and I would like to nominate Mega Coney Island for Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. This Coney is in Fenton, Michigan off of highway 23 south of Flint but north of Brighton. Certainly not like a typical Coney at all, full menu with excellent service, clean and extremely busy hardworking staff. Mega has the best Rueben sandwich and breakfasts we have ever had!! The kitchen is so fast you just gave your order to server and hardly had a chance to settle in your seat before the meal is delivered. This restaurant feeds thousands of people weekly in our small town, the best in the county and always consistent. Prices are so reasonable and plate presentation and food quantities are incredible. Would like someone to check this place out, I do believe there is a Web site for them, come by and eat there! Their staff are happy, smiling people that stay with their jobs for years. We went to the "Shed" in Ocean Springs, MS, so we do know what good, fast, reasonable priced food is!!! Mega Coney Island in Fenton, Michigan off of highway 23
