Unfortunately, both my Mother and Mother-in-Law have passed away. But if they were still with us, I would bake salmon filets with lemon juice, butter and fresh dill. Along with the salmon I would steam fresh broccoli and add butter and parmesan cheese. For dessert I would serve banana pudding with whipped cream. Both of them are missed every day and I would rather they be here to eat dinner with my husband and I.

What will Mother's Day bring – my Mom is with the Lord, my mother -in law 2000 miles away and I am unable to do much due to a broken ankle. So with two daughters near I will drop hints as to what they can make for dinner (Mexican or Italian are favorites) and I will try to make dessert- a cheesecake which is devoured by all.(Juniors recipe is the best!!) Happy Mothers Day to All Moms everywhere!

I am going to attempt to make palomilla steak, white rice, Cuban style black beans, and fried plantains (tostones or maduros). My mom likes Cuban food. I am not a great cook. But at least it is eatable. Would love to learn how to cook delicious meals like shown on Food Network. Thank you for the inspiration.

Well I will be talking with my mother via phone for Mother's Day. She lives in sunny Florida and I live in Wishy Washy Michigan. I love to cook and bake for her. I do this every summer when my son and I go down for 6 weeks. I'm a teacher so I'm lucky to have a vacation spot and see my Mom for 6 weeks at a time. So, if I win these books I can try new recipies from the Ree's cook book (Pioneer Women) It's food she grew up with. My mom will be 81 this June. She loves when she gets a homemade meal. Not fast or resturant food.

I am going to make a roasted turkey with all the trimmings. Then I will have leftovers for soup! I will make adessert for later.

My mother is no longer living, but when she was, Mother's Day was a big cooking day. She wanted all of her children in the kitchen with her. Some of my best memories are Mother's Day dinners. Her roast chicken was probably the favorite of the whole family. So, I guess if she were here we'd make that. With home-made noodles on the side.

I live in a different state from my mom but next year I will be living closer to her and my kids. I'm thinking I'll make something special for myself but I haven't decided what yet. Have a great Mother's Day all! :)

I'm the mom in my life this year — my husband will be out of town for work and my mom is 2,000 miles away. These cookbooks would SURE be handy in making dinner for my wee ones!
