Both my mother and mother in- law have passed away.. There will be many loving thoughts for both of them from myself and my husband. Our children live in California and Texas so it will be the two of us going out to dinner. I have been blessed with three children and a wonderful husband.

My mother loves Pot Roast. I prepare it just the way she taught me many years ago. It has become a Sunday staple in our house. I prepare it and put it in the oven before we go to church and we are able to take in the delicious aroma of the meat and vegetables when we come home! With eight hungry children, the preparations before we leave are so worth it when we get home. She will also enjoy a chocolate cake for dessert!

I love reading several different recipes for the same dish then taking the best of them and making my own version.

I'll be making a fresh strawberry spinach salad and serve it with a potato-leek soup and finger sandwiches. We always save room for dessert – something sinfully chocolate!!

My Mother has passed, but my kids will be coming to my house, we will do a potluck. I will be doing the meat which will be bbq chicken, a potato salad, and red velet cake and coconut cream pies, all their faves! Would love to win cookbooks! Thank you.

my mom's favorite is lobster… a little too challenging for me! My sisters, dad and I will probably BBQ chicken, ribs, and filet mignon, make some corn and roasted potatoes, and large salad. Watermelon for dessert. And, of course we'll take her out later in the week for her lobster- which she doesn't mind, as to avoid the crowds and long waits!

My mom's favorite food is Mac and cheese. Since my Italian dad doesn't believe that pasta should ever be served in that matter, she never makes it. So, once a year, I make an awesome 6 cheese Mac and cheese for us to enjoy together.

My mom LOVES prime rib, so I am thinking of making her some nice rare prime rib, baked potatoes, fresh green beans, then a nice light fruity dessert with whatever fruit looks good from our local market!

My whole family gets together to make my mom a Mother's Day breakfast. They even make me get out of the kitchen once they get started. It's always a great day and the good food makes it even better!

I lost my MOM 2months ago she was a wonderful southern cook and an awsome MOM. It will be a very difficult Mothers Day for my family this year, but as we plan our usual Mothers Day meal we will be preparing the southern dishes our Mom loved, dessert will definately be banana pudding, but it won't taste like Mommas.
