Culinary Quiz: How Well Would You Fare at Worst Cooks Boot Camp? by Maria Russo in Shows, February 16th, 2013
In this all-new fourth season of Worst Cooks in America, 14 culinary recruits are in for the kitchen Boot Camp of their lives, as Chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay work to transform them into capable, confident cooks who can turn out winning meals with ease. But before one can be crowned the best of the worst of the kitchen, they’ll have to endure seven weeks of hands-on training covering even the most elementary culinary know-how.
For many watching the competition unfold at home, it’s easy to think that you’d fare far better than the recruits if tested with the same challenges of Boot Camp. But would you really succeed where others have fallen? FN Dish is giving you the opportunity to assess your critical culinary thinking and the extent of your cooking chops. Take the quiz below to find out how well you’d manage in the kitchen with Chefs Anne and Bobby, then watch this exclusive video to see how the Worst Cooks recruits answered when they were asked quiz questions.

I got a 100% i love to cook ….
Please have a show with average cooks trying to get better. Like me.
I missed two. The mise en place and sweating. I do all the cooking and don't have many complaints about it.
I just wish that I could afford to go to a culinary school so that I could learn so much more! Maybe one day!
I googled three of the questions, mise en place, deglazing a pan and the putting stuff in order we dont have quinoa here in barbados are brussel sprouts if we do they are not very popular.
mise en place is french, meaning everything s in place and ready to begin
i got 10 out of 10,one with partial credit (i kinda guessed) and im 14. My sister and i love to cook.
I love Chef Ann… I would like to get cooking with her. Sexy and she can cook
Sexy? Her hair is soooo weird :p
The question about mirin has the wrong answer. Mirin is basically a rice wine used in Japanese cooking – it is sweet, has low alcohol content but chocolate is not associated with mirin
The question asked which ingredient is NOT associated with mirin, so chocolate is the correct answer.
the question was Which of the following words "does not"describe mirin
I love all the cooking shows. my fav.is chopped.Im not that good of a cook but would like to be.I would love to be on worst cook,u should give me a try.
They should make a "Worst Bakers" in America.
Yes they should
I would LOVE to see a "Worst Bakers in America" program, but what I would hope to see is that this type of show be hosted by bakers who can teach WBIA recruits how to bake from an elementary grade level, because as was evidenced on WCIA, some candidates don't have a clue on professional culinary terms and legalese, such as "mise en place" or ""creme de anglaise". If it could be a 2-part or 3-part series, I'd enjoy it a LOT more. Sandra Lee of "Semi-Homemade" would make a GREAT choice as a teacher and/or judge.
