When are Sandra Lee's twins going to make a guest appearance?
I watched Chef Marcel Vigneron in Top Chef, and he is a force to be reckoned with. So, it is disgusting to see how the rest of the competitors (and Alton Brown) are treating him like a nobody. Sure, he's had his shortcomings, but he is very talented. Treat him with respect just as you would like to be treated. The way everybody in this show treats Marcel (and Spike) is deplorable. And you all want to be respected? WHo are you all to cast a stone? Appleman…you may be a James Beard winner, but do you think your behavior in this show is model behavior? I think not.
I completely agree with you. I actually feel sorry for him and hope he does well, overall. Marcel has been targeted from day one. I also found it egregious that Simon told him that he is not respected by the rest of the cooks in the cast. Fortunately, he believes in himself more.
I hope Marcel does good too. I think all the tampering is just to get to him but he's really holding himself up. Just remember cheating says more about the individual who cheats than the person being cheated.
Just viewed episode 5. Good for Marcel!
Tonight was a second example of Zacharian being basis to Alex. She did not complete the challenge, there was no risk……..she should have been in the bottom. They are sending some home for not taking as risk in the bottom two, yet it was not part of the judging…. For shame
Iron Cook Zakarian is gonna throw out his back if he keeps carrying Alex G…
LOL! That's a good one.
exactly he is biased…..and unfair
BRING BACK FALKNER!
Bring her back is rite….she deserves to come back
You forgot to mention the following for crazy:
1. The Chairman doesn't bother to show up anymore and it's supposedly HIS gig!
2. Alton seems to get to comment loudly and vote too.
3. Everyone has ganged up against one cheftestant: Marcel. Even a judge told him that he is disliked by the rest of the cast. (Was that to psych him out?)
4. Zakarian has blatantly pushed his gal-pal (Alex) along even when she serves junk.
5. Cheating has been pervasive and unending. Mehta turned burners off. Appleman shoved Marcel. Alex stole an ingredient from Marcel and laughed about it.
Clever, I think you summed it up well.
Why do you need a key to open canned corned beef? Perhaps to give you an opportunity to think about what you're really opening?
I think last nights show was the most disgusting example of cheating. Falkner deserved to win. Math will tell you that she only had one mistake. The other chef had two. His main ing. could not be tasted in two of his dishes. I think Zakarian does not want to face Falkner in the Iron chef arena, later down the road. If it is not do fairly, you will have one less viewer. And i bet this is the last season for this show.
I totally agree with you….a true miscarriage of justice! She should have beaten Zakarian last time around. I wonder what will happen with the remaining women???
I know this has nothing to do with the food or the competition, but why do they keep pronouncing Amanda's last name the way they do? Freitag is German for Friday and phonetically it should be pronounced FyrTock.
That is FryTock (Sp)
This season is clearly fixed, Chef Zakarian praises every dish made by Guarnaschelli, so obvious how much he favors her! How annoying is Guarnaschelli with all of her corny commentary! Guarnaschelli would tarnish the Iron Chef name!
great review and program…. but I want Falkner back too
