keep up with the dishes and clutter and try to coordinate things.

  2. Esther says:

My kitchen is the 'country kitchen' look. I have fresh herb plants and foods stored in canning/glass jars. I always have a cloth tablecloth for that sophistication.

  3. Ceci_O_K says:

    Fresh flowers!

  4. Kim in Minnesota says:

I like a tall plant or flower arrangement on my kitchen island. It's a visual focal point for the gathering spot in most homes, and can be changed seasonally. Right now, I'm using a pot of winter herbs with Christmas ornaments tucked into the foilage.

  5. Keeping my kitchen clean with 4 kids that love to cook is a full-time job but is essential to a happy mom and a nice looking kitchen. We also have a curio cabinet in the kitchen to display my grandmothers old china. She is gone now, so having that is a daily reminder that she is still here with us.

  6. Meggan Bond says:

I think the best way to add some sophistication to your kitchen is to use things like wine bottles, wine corks, or other bottles/jars (mason jars) and turn them into intersting, unique, environmentally friendly and beautiful crafts. A cork board for family messages made out used cords is a great idea or even corks turned into magnets for the refrigerator. Flowers put in a wine bottle used as a vase is super simple way to make your kitchen look sophisticated!

  7. Sarah says:

There is space between the top of my cabinets and the ceiling. I display all my wine glasses and fun colored bottles on top to add some sophistication to my kitchen!

  8. Stephanie says:

I have a small wooden piece meant to be a candle holder that I fill with different things to suit whatever season or holiday is coming up. Sometimes just a few flowers sitting in it is all it takes to add a little sophistication in my kitchen :)

  9. Instead of a typical kitchen light, opt for a glass chandelier.
