A classy kitchen has to smell fresh and clean. I have a wax warmer on the counter which looks and smells great!

I used chalkboard paint on a wall near my kitchen door. So my aging husband and his much younger wife (11 years, just turned 50) with memory lose for different reason's . It sure helps us to be able to write on the board as we think of things, than to remember them later! Frame it for that finished look.
