thanksgiving live skype callThe second annual Thanksgiving Live!, a two-hour call-in show hosted by turkey master Alton Brown, will be taking place on Nov. 18 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. From solutions to dry turkey and lumpy gravy to Food Network stars demonstrating helpful tips and delicious recipes, experts will be on hand to address perennial problems. Do you have a question you need answered? You can ask your question now via FN Dish, Twitter and Facebook by using the hashtag: #ThanksgivingLive, but you also have the chance to ask your question live on the actual show.

    Former NBA Great Thunder Dan Majerle is celebrating his 20th year in the restaurant business next month with Majerle's Sports Gill in Phoenix Arizona. Along with his 2nd location that is 5 years old, 3rd that is over 3 years and his 4th location that is going on 2 years old in Old Town Scottsdale for a total of 4 successful locations in the Phoenix area. Dan has decided to go outside the Phoenix market for his next spot located in Flagstaff Arizona on historic route 66 schuled to open Spring of 2013. With 30 combined years of restaurant success Dan has become a dominate player both on and off the court and continues with both of his passions. Currently being hands on majority owner of all 5 locations Dan continues to play a vital role as an assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns.     Question for Alton: recipe calls for pd. of kosher salt with one gallon water and many other things, says to take out in 4 hours or overnight. I usually leave in longer and with much less salt, do I cut back on salt to leave in longer? Expensive brine recipe, thankyou!
