We’re just days away from the start of the third season of The Great Food Truck Race, and to give you a sneak peek at this year’s cast of rookie truckers, we’re introducing one team per day until the season premiere on Sunday, August 19, at 10pm/9c. In the past, buddies Bobaloo and Scott have worked odd jobs here and there to pay the rent. Now they want to start a food truck that would re-invent the everyday waffle and give these fun-loving guys their freedom — they no longer want to answer to “the man.” There’s one catch, though: Neither have culinary training of any kind. So they turned to an up-and-coming local chef, Anthony, from the Los Angeles area to bring some kitchen skills to the team. They say he’s their secret weapon. Their sweet and savory menu offers waffle-based takes on strawberry shortcake, fajitas and more, proving waffles are perfect for way more than just breakfast and dessert.
