I have been thinking about this all day, and my favorite would actually be two, but you need them both for the finished product. Tyler Florence's pizza sauce, its simple, easy, and yummy. Turned me onto the wonders of marjoram over oregano. I cook this all of the time, using different textured tomatoes for the base, and tweaking the spices. It makes a great a marinara! Now to go along with the pizza sauce, I love Alex G. pizza dough recipe. It was my first experience with homemade dough. It again is very easy to follow and make. We have perfect pizza every time. I love the use of honey for the touch of sweetness! I also recommend a mix of cheddar, monterey jack, and fontina for the cheese topping. Dont forget to brush the pizza dough with olive oil before adding sauce adn toppings.
