In possibly one of the most anticipated Chopped All-Stars episodes of the series, four Chopped judges — Alex Guarnaschelli, Marcus Samuelsson, Marc Murphy and Chris Santos — will take their place on the Chopping Block to compete for the fourth and final spot in the finale. Pictured above, all-star chefs Alex Guarnaschelli and Chis Santos look curiously at each other as they enter the kitchen. Will the judges be pleased with their colleagues efforts or will their dishes leave more to be desired?

The winner of this episode will join Iron Chef Michael Symon, Cooking Channel’s Jeffrey Saad and Food Network Star finalist Penny Davidi in the grand finale for a chance to win their charities $50,000.

Before you tune in this Sunday at 9pm/8c to watch the action unfold, we’re challenging you, Chopped All-Stars fans, to write your best captions (tastefully appropriate, please) for this moment in the comments below.

Alex: Would you like me to dice some raw onions for your dish? Scott really loves them.

  2. Terry Burton says:

All I have to say is I hope Alex is out on the first round. She is right up there with Penny – can't stand the woman!

  3. Terry Burton says:

    WOOHOO, Alex got chopped! Yippee!

  4. happy6868 says:

That was the most exciting Chopped to date! Super fun to watch.

    • jeri says:

I agree. I'm going to watch it again. All the chefs did a wonderful job, the judges has a very difficult task in the eliminations.

  5. Donna says:

I thought Marcus would eek it out, but Alex did herself proud. They are all great chefs. The Top Chef against The Iron Chef….should be fabulous fun!

  6. JLF says:

What a great competition. All of the chefs did great – judging had to be so tough. I would hope this would silent the scoffers who don't think these judges can cook. I was pulling for Alex, but knew Marcus would make it tough. She has nothing to hang her head for though. Loved the obvious respect the judges had for the competitors, and the competitors for each other.
Prediction – it will come down to Symon and Samuelsson, and can go either way.

  7. Tuff Love says:

They should use some of the Chopped Champions as judges instead of one another it would make it more exciting.

  8. Alberto says:

Lasts night All-Stars was on point! Chopped All-Stars is right up there with March Madness for me….and what's up with all the "hater" posts on here?! Envy can be a b*&^% sometimes =)

  9. guest says:

I was pulling for Alex because I also support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital…but there's no denying the complexities of Marcus' dishes. Congrats Marcus…now go kick Penny's nasty butt off Food Network for good!

  10. Eve says:

I really was impressed with Alex's dishes, and I was hoping she would win, but it seems that Marcus finally cooked some things that where worth eating. It was the best chopped ever!

    • JLF says:

What do mean "finally cooked some things worth eating"? Marcus is no hack – he has placed highly in the competitions in which he has participated, not the least being his win on Top Chef Masters. Also he is very highly regarded by his peers. You don't come by that regard without being able to cook very very well.

      • akrock says:

I agree with everything you say PLUS when he judges he is always kind in pointing out flaws while Alex has an attitude and makes faces. I for one am very happy she was booted, only wish she had been first maybe she would not be cocky!!
