Reinvented: Chicken Salad 5 Ways

Here in Food Network Kitchens, we love simple, classic recipes. We are also paid to think about food all day. So we’ve taken classic foods and drinks and reimagined them into three, four or five different ways. No standard recipes here, just the occasional technique and pictures. Think of it as a picture recipe.

Of all the variations of chicken salad, our favorite turned out to be the Southwestern Chipotle Chicken Salad. The heat from the chipotle, the crunch of the corn kernels and the creaminess from the avocado rocked our world.

    You did not list Chicken salad made with cream cheese and sour cream, it is the best ever. ( for us non mayo people)

    I make a curry chicken salad often, but I use green grapes instead of apples.

    Southwestern was a great grouping. We used canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and added a little of the sauce. We left out the mayo and scooped it with tortilla chips.

    I like red grapes, pecans, finely chopped onion, cream cheese blended in the Kraft Salad Dressing and of course chopped white chicken meat. A little onion makes it better for me.
