In honor of Thanksgiving, Food Network is getting the entire food community together to celebrate a Virtual Thanksgiving, called The Communal Table, on Wednesday, November 16 at noon EST.
We have to admit, it’s our favorite holiday of the year and we’re highly anticipating all of the delicious recipes and photos that we’ll come across on our favorite websites and blogs.
Want to join us at the table? We’re opening up this event to the entire food community: Next Wednesday, we’ll be launching our first ever Communal Table on the blog and we want you to be a part of it. Whether you write for a popular food website or you’re the owner of a small food blog, help us spread the word and pull up a chair.
1. Participants will create a post/article on their respective sites about the dish they are “bringing” to The Communal Table. Within each post will be links to the other sites. This way, fans all over the web will see what well-known and respected food experts are “bringing to the table.”
2. In order to do this successfully, I’ll need the URL for your post/article no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 15. I’ll send an email out first thing Wednesday morning so you can add the links.
3. To keep the conversation going on Twitter, we’re using the hashtag #pullupachair that day. We encourage you to also use it.
For more details or if you’d like to participate in FN Dish’s first Virtual Thanksgiving, please email FNDish@foodnetwork.com.
FN Dish is bringing the turkey to “the table,” but we’re teaming up with websites like Epicurious, Gourmet Live, Diner’s Journal, Cooking Channel, Food.com, Eatocracy, Cooking Light, EatingWell, Saveur, Real Simple, AP, Southern Living, Food & Wine, Liquor.com, Bon Appetit, Fox News, Food Republic, Whole Foods, Williams-Sonoma, Shine, YumSugar, Gluten-Free Girl, Big Girls Small Kitchen, The Daily Meal, The Kitchn and Food52 to help us share tips and recipes for appetizers, sides, salads, desserts and drinks.
