With four contestants left and the season finale of Food Network Star just right around the corner on August 14, we thought it would be appropriate to give away five signed copies of Food Network Star: The Official Insider’s Guide, your all-access, behind-the-scenes pass to Food Network’s highest-rated series ever.

Food Network Star: The Official Insider’s Guide to America’s Hottest Food Show brings you all the drama of seasons one through seven — plus winning recipes like Guy’s Chipotle Pasta and Melissa’s Skirt Steak Tostadas — along with candid photographs, revealing bios, trivia and insider stories about the contestants and celebrity chef judges like Bobby Flay, Rachael Ray, Paula Deen and more.

You can pre-order a copy right now, but we’d like to give you a chance to win one for free. All you have to do is comment on this post by telling us which season of Food Network Star was your favorite and why. We’re giving away five copies of the guide to randomly selected and very lucky commenters. Each book is signed by Melissa d’Arabian, Aarti Sequeira and this season’s winner.

You may only comment once to be considered, and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. Void where prohibited. Only open to legal residents of 50 U.S. states, DC or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least 18 to win. All entries (comments) must be entered between 12 p.m. ET on August 4 and 5 p.m. ET on August 8. Subject to full official rules. By leaving a comment on the blog, you acknowledge your acceptance to the Official Rules.  ARV of each prize: $21.99. Sponsor: Scripps Networks, LLC,  d/b/a Food Network, 9721 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932.

My favorite was the season that Melissa won. I thought they were all talented chefs. This season in fun because of all of the different personalities.

  2. Honey says:

I definately like this seasons crew, the three remaining stars have great potential. I was kidding my husband that perhaps you should keep all three and do one single show starring all three stars and call it "Three's Company" or "2 guys and a girl". But my favorite season was season 6. I thought Herb Mesa should have taken the win or at least been offered a job. I would have tuned in to see someone explain a physical exercise and demonstrate it. Then they could have made a healthy meal. And I am sure a bottle water company would have loved to sponser the show if the star drank the water on the air. It would or could be a great show =)

I enjoy Vic. I loved him when his family was on challenge and I think he has a great personality. Even though he got a slow start, he has blossomed.

My favorite season would be when Melissa won! I love her POV and her personality!

I have enjoyed all of the seasons but I am really enjoying this season. I was really dissapointed when whitney was sent home but am now picking jeff as a winner.

Guy all the way , baby!!!!

  7. Debbie says:

I've watched and enjoyed every season but was disappointed when Melissa and Aarti won. I've never watched either of their shows as their voices are grating or clicked on their products or recipes. Melissa seemed to have a flair for drama like Penny and complained in a petty way about her competitiors. Guy's been my favorite winner and I watch all his shows whenever I can!

  8. Angelysis says:

I have seen all of them, but I can actually say the favorite one was when Penny was eliminated. It brought focus back in the competition of food and not the pettiess that this woman brought into the program. Each contestant has a style and the 3 finalist happen to be my favorite. Vic makes you feel as if he's been your best friend at his house with Italian food and famly. Susie's smile, laugh, authencity and those thumbs will make you want to make cook Mexican every day. And Jeff, I think he can sell snow to Eskimos and portrays & comments as he is already the winner of this competition. Honestly, I would love forJyll and Whitney to come back and be paired up as sous chefs. I like a little humbleness, down to earth person, so I'm rooting for Vic & Susie.

  9. Terri says:

The first one I really remember was Guy's. He was my favorite from the beginning and I still watch everything he does on the the Food Network. Last year, Herb was my favorite. I was hoping you would have found a way to give him a shot at something.

This year I ADORE Vic. Vic, Susie and Jeff are all star quality, but I guarantee you, if Vic wins, I'll watch everything – like I do Guy's shows. I'd even be happy with a 3-way tie. :)

My favorite Food Network Star is Aaron of "Big Daddy". He grew throughout the season-gained a tremendous amount of confidence before the camera and had awesome food. His win was more sweet due to being part of a terrific group of finalists. The fab 4 in Aaron, Adam, Jeffery and Shane was a group of class acts and great cooks!
