With four contestants left and the season finale of Food Network Star just right around the corner on August 14, we thought it would be appropriate to give away five signed copies of Food Network Star: The Official Insider’s Guide, your all-access, behind-the-scenes pass to Food Network’s highest-rated series ever.

Food Network Star: The Official Insider’s Guide to America’s Hottest Food Show brings you all the drama of seasons one through seven — plus winning recipes like Guy’s Chipotle Pasta and Melissa’s Skirt Steak Tostadas — along with candid photographs, revealing bios, trivia and insider stories about the contestants and celebrity chef judges like Bobby Flay, Rachael Ray, Paula Deen and more.

You can pre-order a copy right now, but we’d like to give you a chance to win one for free. All you have to do is comment on this post by telling us which season of Food Network Star was your favorite and why. We’re giving away five copies of the guide to randomly selected and very lucky commenters. Each book is signed by Melissa d’Arabian, Aarti Sequeira and this season’s winner.

You may only comment once to be considered, and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. Void where prohibited. Only open to legal residents of 50 U.S. states, DC or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least 18 to win. All entries (comments) must be entered between 12 p.m. ET on August 4 and 5 p.m. ET on August 8. Subject to full official rules. By leaving a comment on the blog, you acknowledge your acceptance to the Official Rules.  ARV of each prize: $21.99. Sponsor: Scripps Networks, LLC,  d/b/a Food Network, 9721 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932.

So tell us, which season of Food Network Star was your favorite?

I think I enjoyed last season best so far, but my favorite on that season was Herb. I'd still like to see him have a Food Network show.

I loved last season when Aarti won. The comradarie between the contestants was apparent even when they were competing!

  5. Cathy says:

This season is my favorite because it is so unpredictable and entertaining. All of the contestants are wonderful and I enjoy the challenges.

  6. Judd S says:

I have enjoyed every season. I always try to pick a winner from the opening of the first show of the season and see how far my pick can go. Doing very well this season.
I think my favorite season was the one that was hardest on the network, season three with JAG. I think this was the last season where the public picked the winner. I think we got this one wrong. I think that is why the judges pick the winner.
I enjoy listening to Bob and Susie for what they are looking for in a star.

  7. Patricia says:

Melissa has achievable food–that's my criteria. But I am running partial to Jeff now. Love me a sandwich too!

  8. Trina L Grant says:

This year was the best because I, as a viewer am now completely in-tune to what needs to go on, and how the contestants need to perform. Now that we have seen what happens to the winners after they go on to do their own show, it gives a little better perspective to how important it is to them to win, and it just adds that much more entertaining tension.

  9. Benjamin Hall says:

    The one with melissa D'Arabian

  10. Beamer says:

I like this season because the contestants are so diverse, especially the final 4.
