Crave
Hosted by food critic and journalist Troy Johnson, Crave takes viewers on a cross-country journey for the most perfect versions of the foods he craves like pizza, pork, fried chicken and ice cream. Enthralled by the culinary wonders surrounding him, Troy will travel anywhere and try anything in pursuit of his obsession.

Sorry – but I was disappointed you brought this show back. Too extreme, although pastry chefs need some exposure and a venue – this is not it!!! Crazy and again overly dramatic! Food Network is slowing going down the drain, No new ideas – nothing inspiring – nothing creative – too bad!

Could not agree more. This is by far the worst show on Food Network. The network in general has declined significantly over the past few years (not that the marketing executives care…see CookingChannelTV.com….i.e. MTV2 for those of us who actually want to watch cooking shows or music videos) but REALLY? News Flash…. Inspeeeeration is not a word… try Inspiration…and if you would like to inspire me not to hit the clicker …revamp the lineup and kill this atrocity of a show….

I have to say, the first few times I watched Sweet Genius I thought it was too "intellectual" and a little overwhelming. However, I am learning by watching how ingredients and creativity come together to challenge already proven-talent pastry chefs to bring skill and creativity together. I've come to enjoy the show for the learning experience and even the crazy ingredients and "inspirations" I now find entertaining. Congrats to the food network for having a show to really make me think!

Ron Ben Israel is MAGIC! We can do without Guy Fieri hosting everything!

What a terrible show. How can Food Network, which I think highly of, even think this guy is even remotely entertaining. How did he get a show. He is so creepy, and the concept is questionable. I switch channels immediately. Is he really a Sweet Genius???? Ugh…

    • pete says:

yes thats how i feel. just seeing his creepy face when they do a commerical, make me never want to eat sweets again. put something good on. i'm sick of all the battle crap! everytime i turn FN on it a top chef. or chopped or some kind of challenge. who care who is better. why don't they do some fun food shows. or a food show with things kids can make. so they learn good food as they grow up. i like the old FN they are going down hill.

  7. Katherine says:

I am very pleased this show returned for a second season. What is especially enjoyable is that Chef Ron's impish, playful personality comes out this season. He has an incredible sparkle in his eyes that truly makes me smile. I was curious about what kind of genius he really is, so I went to his business website. If anyone doubts Chef Ron's artistic abilities, I suggest they visit his website. Exrtaordinary is the word that describes his work. Heis a true master and a real Sweet Genius.

  8. MaisMommy says:

does anyone know how to get someone on this show? because my friend Victoria is an amazing baker! and she would rock this show! if only i knew how to nominate her for it!
