rachael vs guy celebrity cook-off
Two of Food Network’s most popular personalities, Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri, are going head-to-head in a new series premiering this winter, Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off. Both Rachael and Guy will serve as coaches and mentors to eight multi-talented celebrities — from an Olympic gold medalist to Grammy-winning artists to a Golden Globe-nominated actor — contestants who are all passionate about food and cooking.

Divided into Team Rachael and Team Guy, the contestants will face intense weekly challenges that are sure to have them working, fighting and laughing as they race against the clock to prepare elaborate meals for up to 150 guests. The winning and losing teams will be chosen by the guest diners and after six episodes, the last celebrity standing will win a cash donation to his or her favorite charity.

The show’s all-star line-up includes:

•    Summer Sanders: two-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer and national sportscaster
•    Lou Diamond Phillips: Golden Globe-nominated actor (Stand and Deliver, SGU Stargate Universe)
•    Aaron Carter: Multi-platinum-selling recording artist and actor (Popstar, Supercross)
•    Joey Fatone: Singer, actor, television personality and founding member of top-selling supergroup *NSync
•    Taylor Dayne: Chart-topping recording star and actress (Broadway’s Aida, television’s Nightman)
•    Coolio: Grammy-winning hip-hop artist
•    Cheech Marin: Grammy-winning comedian, screenwriter and actor (Judging Amy, Cars 2)
•    Alyssa Campanella: Winner, Miss USA 2011 and Runner-Up, Miss Teen USA 2007

Beginnning of the End – It's truly unfortunate that this show is not only staged, but that they chose to eliminate the one of two contestants that had any style and personality, which was Cheech (and LDP). I will NOT watch the rest of the show, and hope others will join me in voicing their disappointment and displeasure at a competent and dynamic personality eliminated over a "grilled cheese" competition – lame programming!

I agree with you. From miss U S A got cheated out i stop watching the show. Too much cheating from Guy and Rachel. It sucks to see the dummies stay and the good cooks go.

  2. Sheila says:

Sorry, disagree with Guy and Rachel tonight……..The winning appetizer was NOT bite size..Shame on you two!

  3. Den says:

I like the show. Celeb’s trying to cook. How fun. And Guy is always a rock star.

  4. Jessica says:

If you don’t like then don’t watch it how hard is that…

LDP is the best cook of the bunch. Joey is the funniest and Coolieo is just annoying.

  6. WestCoastFan says:

I'm going to predict that LDP makes it to the finale. Reasoning is because of the pre-season preview clip. They definately showed LDP in a white cheffy type of outfit. Coolio and Joey are a toss-up. Both have shown great cooking chops. Coolio especially. A couple of the dishes he's done has cause Guy to get a "Huh?" look on his face but after that great showing with the fish taco w/beans he's let Coolio do his thing and hasn't been disapointed yet. Egg roll w/cheese. Not exactly what you see normally but it was a hit w/the people.

  7. WestCoastFan says:

OK. From the commericals for the last Celeb Cook-Off ep I'll say that Coolio makes it to the finale for Team Guy. It kinda looks like that the ones who didn't make it to the finale may be acting as the maitre d' of the restaurants. That is what I'm deducing from the preview/commericals I've seen.

    Anyone else have any predictions?

  8. Tim McCabe says:

I enjoyed the show very much, but was disappointed that Coolio appeared to be "stone" (or at least high) especially during the last two hours/episodes. That being said, I was glad to see that Coolio received $10,000 for his charity.

I absolutely loved the show! I think for the next season (if there is going to be one) you should have Dwayne Johnson (the Rock). He would be "electric"!!!

  10. Kathleen says:

Love watching rachael-vs-guy-celebrity-cook-off. I am so happy LDP won!! It was well deserved. 28 in Zagat Rating out of 30!! WOW! So very impressive.

I am curious to know who they will have next :)
