Cleveland.com reported that Iron Chef Michael Symon’s Lola Bistro earned its first AAA 4-diamond rating, the second highest award given to hotels and restaurants. Chef Symon had made it a goal to receive this honor and was excited to learn he achieved it. Also, a new location of B-spot, his burger restaurant, is now open in Strongsville, Ohio. The Strongsville Patch reported crowds gathering for opening day and excited customers eager to sample the chef’s award winning burgers. A third B-spot location at Crocker Park in Westlake is scheduled to open in July, as the chef continues to expand his culinary presence in the Cleveland area.

Guy Fieri tweeted about a special meal he was preparing and asked his fans on twitter to guess the name of the honored guest at a surprise birthday dinner for a “Hall of Famer”. He later posted photos of the event celebrating John Madden’s 75th birthday, with Madden dressed in one of his signature knuckle sandwich chef jackets.

The Courier Post Online has announced a new charity founded by Aaron McCargo Jr. “Play to Win” will focus on engaging male youths in academic and after-school activities. Its goal is to encourage youth to be committed to their academics as they complete their education and develop into successful men. Growing up in Camden, Aaron struggled himself to beat the odds of becoming a statistic, “I am one of so many young men who desperately needed a person to give me encouragement and teach me that life is a challenge. That is what drove me to start Play To Win.” Call (856) 829-7458 or visit www.playtowininc.org for details.

I am such an enormous Michael Symon fan. The first time I saw him on television I thought, "I don't know…" . He was big and sort of spooky, like one of those guys that you're not so sure that you want to meet on the street. Then he smiled and gifted us all with that infectious laugh, and I was hooked. He is so engaging, and he explains his simple and delicious recipes like he's talking to an old friend. I'll keep on watching as long as Michael keeps on being just who he is!

What is up with Giada? She's so full of herself. Just because she had a boob job doesn't mean that she has to show it off constantly. She is always wearing a low cut top with cleavage out. Her shirts are sooo low that she has to wear a tank underneath and still, cleavage. Doesn't she own any other clothes? I find it obnoxious and I don't understand why her producers don't say anything to her. I thought the food network was all about cooking and the food, not the boobs. When she comes on I change the channel.
