Thanks for these suggestions! I don't have vegetarian "guests" so to speak, but I do have one six-year-old boy who would rather eat a plate of vegetables than any kind of meat – weird I know but true. I'll definitely check out these recipe ideas.

  2. Thanks for the suggestions, Diane! I go vegetarian for months at a time so I'll be trying some of these myself. And will also send this blog post to a few people that I know who do worry when they have vegetarian &/or vegan guests coming over.

I have been a lifelong vegetarian. Don't panic when a vegetarian is coming to dinner. We will eat everything your serve, except the meat. When it comes to Thanksgiving, there is more than enough food to satisfy most people.

My brother ans sister-in-law are vegetarians. So every Thanksgiving I make sure to use vegetable stock in place of chicken stock in my recipes. and I make mushroom gravy for them. We always have a pumpkin soup or something of the sort and they never go home hungry.
